What's a more productive way to de-stress than internet?

Sleep would be nice. Not in the mood for reading or watching tv, can't find any music to listen to right now.

Fuzzy 01-20-2008 06:57 AM

Panopticon 01-20-2008 07:38 AM
oh, and guys, can someone tell me whats special spelling wise about the word rhythm?
The word contains no vowels.

Panopticon 01-20-2008 08:14 AM

a e i o u AND SOMETIMES Y!

yes theres a vowel in rhythm.

Sunshine 01-20-2008 09:08 AM

Gawd, last night was so embarassing.
I don't know why, 'cause I don't remember part of it, but I'm positive.
I never, ever want to drink that much ever again.
Didn't want to to begin with.
But my mix drinks get stronger as the night goes on =/

Berk 01-20-2008 09:49 AM

-->Jay<-- says:
come have a few drinks

Panopticon 01-20-2008 09:56 AM

plz come

Sunshine 01-20-2008 10:06 AM

I dunno why I can't sleep more than 5 hours after a night of drinking.
But I woke up still slightly drunk, and now I really want to puke.
And I don't want to see anyone I saw last night, because I'm pretty positive there's a reason I'm embarrassed.

and people think it's weird that i find no appeal in getting drunk...

Sunshine 01-20-2008 10:27 AM

This is the first time that's happened to me in a long, longlonglong time.
Usually I'm good about staying pleasantly drunk, but able to remember everything and not feel sick the next day.

Isn't rhythm 2 syllables? That's unusual for a word with 1 vowel.

Chippy569 01-20-2008 10:51 AM
Isn't rhythm 2 syllables? That's unusual for a word with 1 vowel.
rhy thm

m is a tonal consonant, so it takes the function of a vowel.

I noticed DBJ ain't modding no more. :(
I've missed Jims set.

I'm having a blast in the Pit right now :D

And I don't know if I dare say it, but I've kinda layed down the sticks. Haven't been playing seriously for 'bout a year an a half. :(

It's been all woodwind.
but I've always loved the forums so I'm gonna stick around, probably gonna hang a bit in "Other Instruments", lulz

Y is a vowel...?

News to me....

Chippy569 01-20-2008 11:53 AM

Y is a vowel when it's used as a vowel, yes.

Panopticon 01-20-2008 11:54 AM

only sometimes. like in my, why, rhythm...etc anywhere it makes a vowel sound.

it is NOT a vowel in works like yeti, young, you.

ace76543 01-20-2008 11:57 AM
