Yeah, me too! I'd much rather be too cold and have to wear more to get warm, than too hot and not be able to cool down. If only I could work topless...

I HATE the summer.

Because:
a) If I sit out in the sun for 5 minutes I burn really really easily
b) The sun makes my eyes water really badly
c) People don't wear very much in town and it pisses me off.




Back to what you were talking about before - why do guys not like girls wearing make up??

Its so false. I dont mind a little bit, but so many girls go over the top. And wearing 3 inches of make up wont make you a stunner, if you arent always pretty.

As someone said before, its false advertising. If you see someone one night wearing a load of make up, you might think "whoa, shes not bad", then the next morning you see them without it, and its like "ouch"

I don't think most girls need make up to look attractive - I'd much rather see someone with a couple of skin blemishes or whatever and [i]know[/i] she'll still be good looking if she didn't spend two hours in her bedroom mirror before coming out than to have some girl sitting there looking like Ronald McDonald on crack, and wondering what she actually looks like underneath all that make-up. As I said earlier, it's kind of like false advertising.

Hehe, at one point I asked my gf if I'd ever seen her without makeup...and it was funny because she realized I was thinking about Brand New. But anyways, she said no then...but since then we've showered together and stuff so I think the answer is now yes. Pointless story, but it was cool how we both thought of Brand New in reference to that...

I was always more attracted to the people that I was around most often because they dont wear alot of make-up, rather than the other 'clan' who went overboard. And everyone knew they did

I still don't get what the big deal is with showering together - I've showered before with girls I've not been going out with, and nothing happened... it's just... well, showering.

It's because it's more intimate, I guess? Like you're both there and entirely open for the other person, and you can't really be embarassed or anything because you're both like that. Hard to explain. Showering and sleeping with the gf were some of my favorite things to do with her...although we haven't had sex.

I enjoy sleeping with gf's too (not the sexual side of things, although obviously I enjoy that too...) - it's just really relaxing and comforting, but like I say, the showering thing never really did it for me. I suppose it's down to inhibitions, at the end of the day - my lot aren't really too uptight about that kind of thing, so I guess nudity and whatnot isn't really a huge thing.

I didn't think about that, but it probably is really different for Americans versus Europeans. For Americans it's like total trust because nudity is so looked down on.

I feel so uncomfortable naked, whether i'm on my own, or with someone there.

I guess thats gonna be a problem when sex comes into the equation!

You're right with the nudity thing broadly speaking, Vince - but I'd say that here in the UK we are probably only very slightly less prudish about nudity - we are nowhere near the continental levels of relaxation with nudity...
I think with my situation is more a fact that all my friends have known each other so long (upwards of 15 years in some cases, and we're all between 19 and 21 years old) that I think there's a feeling that there really isn't anything more to know about each other - I've showered with two of the girls from the group, one I ended up in a relationship with, and one I didn't - I won't pretend it was the most natural thing ever, but it wasn't awkward either. (although I will admit to forcing myself to think about some very unattractive things at times to avoid what is really only natural in that kind of situation...)

Nah, you guys are a good amount less prude...but not as much as the continent I know. You do have nudity on tv though...

That would be a big part of it I'm sure. My longest time friends are no longer such so I can't say I have that level of closeness to any of them. But I can see how that would relax the situation (but not parts of your body apparently heh) :p

hell, that part of the body doesn't care whether I've known her 15 years or fifteen minutes, all it cares about is what the eyes are trying not to stare at! :p
