We're on the school computers coz the 13 year olds are up and we cant watch the good DVDs (i.e. The Umbilical Brothers - SPEEDMOUSE)!!!

no news on the job... But my (drumming) friend (mentionned below) has got his rejection

and no band names yet. My drumming mate is asking a keybaordist we know if he's game, and if he is, we're "on".

So, what do you play?

I got a call from a mate. I've been asked to play a gig on the 13th of August.
Not in an actual band or anything. Just a heap of us who like playing music and see it as a challenge to get up on stage and play a gig together.
There's a few of us, we've all been in bands before. Some of those bands are still going, others are not. But we'll just get together for one night and see how we go.

We'll be playing a couple of Powderfinger songs, including a cover of While my Guitar Gently Weeps, and several originals. Or rather semi-covers, songs that were orginally played by some of those bands that some of us were in, back when those bands were still together. If that makes sense.

So, Trea, or you going to be at that marathon for the full 50 hours! Playing for most of the time? That's intense.

Yeah I'm here the full 50. There are 4 real bands, plus Deprived of Sanity (but we're only playing in this because we're all part of at least 2 of the bands that are really supposed to be playing)... they're rotating through; playing for different lengths depending on the band. And people are doing solo sessions too (I'm doing 2 hours worth of those). The only band I'm not in is a junior band, which I ended up having to help out with in today anyway.
