Can you recommend any good Dutch emo/screamo bands?
The only ones I know of are: Jetsetready, Believeisadoubt and The Spirit That Guides Us.
I wouldn't really call Jetsetready or Believeisadoubt emo bands. |
Exactly.

There's no such thing. Dashboard Confessional is not emo, but more like the James Taylor of the 00's. |
i din say they were emo did i

We all know that's what you were implying. If emo is an offshoot of hardcore, then how likely is it that there would be any acoustic emo bands? Or good ones, for that matter? |
I've got the album "Supernova" by Under A Dying Sun.
My AIM is "IbleedtheskyI", and my Soulseek is Bleed The Sky. |
about the acoustic emo band thing, but die emperor die have an acoustic cd.i'm not really sure if they're emo,im not good at classifying

Actually, there is an acoustic emo 'band.' The Deadwood Divine. Pretty hard to track stuff down by, but it was Tom Lomacchio's 'project' after Plunger. He was going through some pretty rough **** back then. Cbmartinez, if you want to buy Books Lie 'The Hall of Fame of Fire' Lp off me.. hit me up. I HATED it. Only played half a time. |
Whoa, that'd be cool. I'll think about it.
|
Hey, I might be co-putting out a record soon!!
If it works out it's going to be awesome. Split 5", bands are still secret. |

What genre are underoath?and can anyone recommend me any bands which are in the same genre
|
Underoath is like a pop-punk/"metalcore." Bands in the same genre would be like RosesAreRed, Glory Of This, From Autumn To Ashes, and Funeral For A Friend.
|
RosesAreRed
And you make fun of me when I mention Glory Of This. Roses Are Red are far worse. |
Did I say I like RosesAreRed? He asked for bands that sound like Underoath. Underoath= pop-punk with the occasional scream and heavy part. RosesAreRed= pop-punk with the occasional scream and heavy part. Come to think of it, he would probably like Glory Of This also.

They sound pop punk to me. Maybe post-hardcore? Iunno, still a good band. |
Thanks, they are my two favourite bands right now (i usually find a new band every week). Is "Exploisions In The Sky" a emo or screamo band?( cant spell)
|
Explosions In The Sky - Post-Rock
Taking Back Sunday - Pop-punk Alexisonfire - Post-hardcore or emocore. No one will lynch you depending on which one of those you say. (I think/hope) |
Underoath. Underoath= pop-punk with the occasional scream and heavy part.
Have you heard much Underoath? It's more than an occasional scream, most of the vocals are screams. But they have alot of the clean "emo" style vocals that bands use these days too. I like Underoath and I guess they would be emocore... they aren't emo and they are a little heavier than the modern "fake emo" bands. They have a couple of songs that sound a little metalcore though. I don't know about those other two bands though. Alexisonfire would go in the same genre I believe. |
Also, I finally finished my CTTS review.
