Only he can, and he's not on at the moment. So it's dark experimental trip-hop or nothing, I'm afraid.

Curse Ov Dialect - Uzbeki Westerns
This song starts off with what seems to be a passage of sorts from the bible or something. It starts off with a simple guitar riff/chords while a scratching of some sort is heard in the background. The beat is rather slow for my taste. There are random noises as the song progresses. The vocals harmonized with the rhythm. Sounds like a rap/country...strange Later in the song, there is a violin solo that leads to a guitar part, which then progresses to a an EXTREMELY awkward trombone(ish) solo. I couldn't listen to the end...I just couldn't stand the racket... I wouldn't exactly suggest this song to anyone - 3/10 Betrayed - Norther (Modern Death/Black Metal) |

Ummmm just to ask, are you sure it isn't a song by Norther called Betrayed? Cause the only songs I can find by Betrayed are punk, and none of them are called Norther.

Norther - Betrayed sorry if this is the wrong song.
It starts out very very fast paced, with both a hard lead section, and an extremely melodic rhythm section. Then at about 10 seconds, the vocalist joins in with a long scream "Nooooooooo!". Then after the scream ends (about 6 seconds). The vocalist screams at a medium pace, with lyrics such as "Realized I've been betrayed," and "I hate this place". Then the song slows down a tad bit for the chorus, then a second verse much like the first verse. It has the basic structure of most melodic death metal songs, and some very good guitar work. Overall I'd say this song is an 8/10, thanks for introducing me to Norther. My suggestions: Korn - Same Man (Funk Nu-Metal) In Flames - Suburban (Mellodic Death-Metal) Opeth - The Moor (Mellodic Death-Metal) Norther - Unleash Hell (Mellodic Death-Metal) |

Opeth - The Moor
Shame on me I know, but the only Opeth song I'm actually familiar with is "Patterns in the Ivy", so this seems like a good chance to get acquainted First glance it's 11 mins long, this is a good thing. ok, the song starts with a dual guitar intro, clean and distortion. Interesting harmonies showing there's actual musicanship to this band. This intro drags on for a while untill about 1:50 where we switch straight into accoustic. It's a really nice melody and a good continuation from the intro. At 2:30 the distortion slams in developing on the accoustioc melody nicely. 2:51 and the song is picking up pace. At about 3:30 we get a big gutteral scream and soon after enter the vocals. They seem typically growly/evil to me, but I don't often listen to vocals like this so I can't really comment. The song progresses really nicely, the only thing I dislike is the vocals. At 5:10 we have a nice guitar break(and a break from the vocals :p) What's annoying me now is that that have 'normal' sung vocals after it. At about 6 mins we launch off into new territory shortly to be followed by those **** vocals. 7 mins and we have some pretty classic prog riffage and backing vocals. This brings to mind The Glass Prison, well at least untill the breakdown. at about 8 mins we enter back into some really pretty accoustic guitar work + lead melodies. The accoustic developes nicely and is joined by pleasent vocals :) This goes on for a bit with variations in the music, but the same idea. At 10:21 the distortion slams back in to create an epic finish. All in all a great song, the only thing that I disliked was the growly vocals So I'm giving it a 7/10 My recomendations: Buckethead - The Treeman Mr Bungle - carousel Racer x - King of the monsters |

Racer X - King of the Monsters
Nice intro. Very metally and then the double time. This is good. Driving music. Classic sound to it. Nothing too musically insane but good musicianship. Bass solo. I like the speed. Very fitting. I have a feeling there will be no vocals. Too much melody in the guitar, which by the way is very good. Little tapping bit in a very soloy section then back to the beginning. Repetitive but enjoyable. Lots of little fills really spice it up. The players are all very good. The songwriting is good but there hasn't been anything that really shook me yet (excluding the bass solo). I speak too soon. A cool chromatic fill into some tapping. I have to call this a bit of musical wankery but it is good. I really like the "chorus" section. It's a great thing to come back to. The off beat snare is a nice touch. A feedbacking ending. Perfect length. I really liked this. Is it all instrumental or just this song? I think I'll find somemore. 8/10 My first Racer X song. It was lacking a bit in the creativity department not for lack there of but for lacking of really pushing. I'd like to hear a keyboardist too. Definitly worth my time. Tweaker - Linoleum Sinergy - Laid to Rest Queens of the Stone Age - The Bronze Age PsyOpus - Death, I... Opeth - The Leper Affinity Nine Inch Nails - Terrible Lie Meshuggah - soul burn Mnemic - deathbox There better be something. I've got 'em all. IM - I Like ToAct Gay |

Sinergy - Laid to Rest
I had heard of Sinergy before, knowing it was a power metal band with Alexi Laiho and his wife, but this was my first time actually hearing a song of theirs. This is one of their slower songs(I'm guessing) and starts off with a beautiful, soothing acoustic intro. Kim Goss has a nice voice, but I'm not exactly a fan of it. I'm used to the "testicles in a vice grip" vocals of most power metal. Not a major problem though. The drumming is nothing flashy, probably because this is a slower song. It keeps the beat just fine though. I can barely hear any bass though, which is kind of a bummer for me. The production also suffers(imo) when it comes to the guitar. It seems that anytime outside of the solos or interludes it's been forced into the background. I guess I'm spoiled by Dragonforce, having the guitar playing front and center. One positive note is of course, Alexi's guitar work. It's simple riffage throughout the verse and chorus, but his playing ability shines during the solos, mainly the second one. All in all, not a bad song. I was indifferent to the vocals at first, but after the first few repeats they were slowly growing on me. I'll probably check out more by this band. 7/10 Appalling Spawn(Ex-Lykathea Aflame) - Self Monarch(Technical death/grind) 1349 - Pitch Black(Raw black metal) Alice in Chains - Nutshell(Grunge/metal, acoustic ballad) Queens of the Stone Age - Avon(stoner-ish rock) Dimmu Borgir - The Insight and the Catharsis(Symphonic Black Metal) The Dresden Dolls - Coin Operated Boy(Cabaret) Peccatum - Parasite My Heart(Progressive, avant-garde black metal) Portal(Ex-Cynic) - Not the Same(technical progressive rock) Steel - Heavy Metal Machine(power metal) Snot - Joy Ride(rock) Windir - Ressurection of the Wild(Folk-black metal) If you have trouble finding any of these, I'll send them through aim: BlkMetalDeviant |

Peccatum's Parasite My Heart:
The first minute or so is solid black metal with a wee bit of ambience. I like the vocals except they main vocals a bit too prominent in the mix, and the clean backing vocals are too far back in it. The calm piano segment and the female vocalist that accompanies it are both very good. The guitar build up had me thinking it was going to burst out into black metal for the rest of the song, but instead it had just a moment of blasting metal before settling back down again and returning to the calm piano for the rest of the track. While I liked that the song defied my expectations (this is an avant-garde band, I suppose), the flow of it felt uneven. The piano also was beginning to lose my interest near the very end. Enjoyable track, I'll be looking into Peccatum. - 7/10 For the next poster: All Shall Perish - Never Ending War (Brutal Death Metal) Covenant - Bizarre Cosmic Industries (Black Metal) Explosions in the Sky - Greet Death (Post Rock) Savatage - Morning Sun (Heavy Metal) Talking Heads - Don't Worry About the Government (Rock) AIM me if you need to - xizoesira |

This song starts off on a good start with a cool riff and some weird backing vocals. But, when it get's into the real song it's a dissapointment. I really do not like the singer and he ruins what would be a quite good song. Thankfully, the singer is hardly in the song :thumb:. It has a very nice piano part through the entire song which I loved. I really like pianos. The guitars cut out and is based mainly on piano for a couple of minutes. Then the singer comes back in :upset: but there's an even cooler riff than the intro which makes up for his voice. The singer goes away again and in come the weird backing vocals. Then some more piano!!! The singer kicks in and the guitarist does a funny riff which soon sorts itself out. A very good song except for the singer 8/10 Children of Bodom-Northern comfort Dream Theater - The Ytse Jam Pink Floyd-Us and them Eighteen visions-I let go Radiohead-Everything's in it's right place Muse-Stockholm syndrome rage against the machine-Without a face If you can't find the songs AIM me jakebassist |

Rage Against The Machine - Without A Face
The song starts with a very very reppetitive guitar riff that repeats in the background. Then at about 3 seconds the bass joins in, a very nice sound, simple but good. Then about 5 seconds Zack joins in, the song is probably one of the most blatant anti government songs Rage has made, Zack says things such as "Yes I know my deadline 'sire',". Then at the end of the first verse, heavy distortion, more metal sounding guitar, Zack says 6 lines, each ended with Born without a face, then a second verse. Then chorus. Good simple song, 8/10. My suggestion: Korn - Excuse Me (Speed Metal) |

Will you send it to me over AIM or MSN?

Korn never wrote any speed metal.
