Question: So you know those links on AIM that people send and it's like, "hey look at this pic of me!" and it's one of those stupid viruses/spam thingys. Well, does anyone know what they do to your computer?
I'm guessing it screws up your computer.

Does anyone else have a problem with soulseek where it says at the bottom:

Search results for gay
or
Is it better than Star Wars?
Yea as a single movie. I'm a Star Wars nerd, but I liked Batman better than Episode 3 itself.

The last movie I saw before it was Star Wars.

My drummer just got his first lessong from Andols Herrick. He is the original drummer from Chimaira, who recorded The Impossibility of Reason with them. Im really excited about this because he is going to help him improve his double bass technique 10 fold.

He didn't even use 123 correctly there, anyway.

All of them run a script and settle in your Window directory. Not all of them are malicious, but most of them are. However, they're easy to remove, so no worries there.

Rothmans 06-15-2005 09:16 PM
Yeah.. it's just when people search, your results come up.
But I wasnt searching for them.

Illmatic 06-15-2005 09:17 PM

So my step-brother and step-sister (I dunno what to call them) are coming over here on Father's Day. Fun.

Kurtz 06-15-2005 10:27 PM

This is probably real old news, but how did CemetaryGates9 get banned?

Illmatic 06-15-2005 10:28 PM

For calling and harrassing madey (she told NPC about it).

Kurtz 06-15-2005 10:30 PM

Wait, calling madey? Like on an actual fucking phone?

How did he get her number?

Illmatic 06-15-2005 10:30 PM

It was in her AIM profile.

Jom 06-15-2005 10:32 PM

ATTN: madey

Jom 06-15-2005 10:38 PM
Isn't he like 250+ pounds too? That's what Rayray told me.
If by 250+ you mean 300+, then yeah.

Illmatic 06-15-2005 10:41 PM

Wait, he's over 300 pounds?

Jom 06-15-2005 10:41 PM

He might roll after you. Make sure you don't go down any hills or anything.

Permanent Solution 06-15-2005 10:43 PM

Jom 06-15-2005 10:56 PM
I am apathetic towards anything and everything. Except Star Wars.
Hello, Vince. You seem to find the computer (and MX) a bit more frequently nowadays.

Permanent Solution 06-15-2005 10:59 PM
Hello, Vince. You seem to find the computer (and MX) a bit more frequently nowadays.
I'm not apathetic to everything, just most things. Like my friends, this is why I'm on more often. I haven't talked to them in almost a month nor they to me, and so I work, sleep and spend time on the computer.

Illmatic 06-16-2005 12:09 AM

So I was talking to madey online and I brought up my ire about those who would rather be a little kid. Of course, I realize I am biased about this issue; my childhood was rather turbulent, and I am happiest and most secure right now, which is more or less the opposite of everyone else. By the time I hit my teenage years I had already seen the worst and paid my dues. After all, "Am I cool?" and "Does [girl X] like me?" certainly pale in comparison to "Are we going to have the apartment next week?" and "Will we be able to keep the electricity?"

Right now I am experiencing the happiness and stability that most people experience in their childhood.

And of course, losing your father--especially during the period in your life where you think he's the most invincible person on the planet--tends to shatter the innocence of childhood and sour any nostalgia of that period. But don't get me wrong, I am proud of where I came from, and I do have fond memories of my childhood. It's just that overall, my life is better now than it was ten years ago.

Bartender 06-16-2005 12:17 AM

It's kind of strange that you mention that, as I was just thinking recently how cool it would be to go back to being seven years old, and trying everything again a little differently.

EDIT: and Gates only said he was 200, not 300.
I see. Thanks anyway.
Why did you ask?

Riva 06-16-2005 12:27 AM

In terms of my life, I have the greatest luck when it comes to friendship. I recently discovered I have a fantastic girlfriend, two best friends whom have been like brothers since year 1 (14 years ago), and numerous friends who I have known for around 2-3 years who are amongst some of the nicest people on earth. So yeah, no matter how shitty my luck with money or University goes, as long as I have my girl, my friends, and my music, I'm set for life.

Steerpike 06-16-2005 12:40 AM

Jesus Haploid Christ. I've hit a new low.

I was in a relatively good mood today, so I thought "Well, I'm still single and can't get out as often as I'd like... Just for the hell of it, I'll try an internet dating site. It worked for a couple people I know. It couldn't hurt to try."

Turns out after filling out the personality profile test thing for the past hour, it ultimately told me I'm not inherently compatible with anyone currently registered in the site's database.

This has officially crossed the line into "fucking sad." Or is it "fucking ridiculous?" I can't tell.

ATM 06-16-2005 01:04 AM

You wouldn't want to be matched up with a lot of those people anyway, dude.

Steerpike 06-16-2005 01:08 AM

Maybe, but when a database full of people who really aren't that picky anymore turns up 0 results, where do you go from there? I have officially hit the bottom of the barrel.

How many girls do you think are actually registered on that site?

Steerpike 06-16-2005 01:14 AM

Seen it. Hits closer to home than I'd like to admit.
