Their guitarist is a really cool guy as well as Travis. I was in the pit with him @ the Suffocation/Immolation show. I fucked him up lol.
You're the shit.
I expect rep every day from here on out!

j/k

You're welcome man.

publicastration 11-19-2007 12:16 AM
That man is crazy. Like, messed up in the head, and extremely good at screaming. Definitely one of the best live vocalists I've ever heard, and I'm not even into that band.

Also, completely unrelated, I like the inhale part in Flowering Entities by Lykathea Aflame.
Wow yeah he's insanely good live. After seeing this video I want to see them now.

Charizard 11-19-2007 12:31 AM

I wish he sounded that good on album.

C.O.A. 11-19-2007 12:36 AM

Yeah I completely agree with that statement actually. I will never buy one of CD's cds (lol get it?) but I will usually always go to their shows because of that.

Charizard 11-19-2007 12:37 AM

Yeah, I always passed on going to see them (all of my friends are obsessed), and I'm really disappointed that I have.

publicastration 11-19-2007 12:40 AM

He still sounds great on album, he's just no where near as insane.

Charizard 11-19-2007 12:42 AM

He sounds good on album, but their music's so mediocre. His live display is just that impressive though, I was seriously just standing there with my mouth open their entire set.

publicastration 11-19-2007 12:46 AM

Karma.Bloody.Karma is really an improvement over their previous work, and I enjoy it.

C.O.A. 11-19-2007 12:48 AM

My buddy is a huge fan and I really don't get it. I think he thinks that i really like them lol.

Charizard 11-19-2007 12:50 AM

I don't get it either. My friends hype up a lot of the same bands I do, but then like... Bury Your Dead, Cattle Decapitation, Despised Icon, Sleep Terror, etc.

It's irritating on rides to shows, I'm so excited to get my license. I'm gonna force my buddy Robby to listen to screamo the entire way to the FGOV show we're going to in a few months methinks.

publicastration 11-19-2007 12:51 AM

Punish them with Wormed.

Listening to them really feels like having your brains smashed out.

Charizard 11-19-2007 12:58 AM

Wormed is good, yeah, but I'm not that into them.

I'll probably "punish" them with like, Union Of Uranus or City Of Caterpillar.

Also, first Paraphilia show is soon, you should go.

publicastration 11-19-2007 01:02 AM

You're a good vocalist.

I'm definitely interested.

Charizard 11-19-2007 01:04 AM

Aww, thanks. :)

We're probably gonna be playing with Bataan Death March, and I'm gonna try to get A Long Awaited Tragedy and Set These Wings Ablaze to play too.

/local bands that aren't very good, that you probably won't like, that put on really good live shows somehow, and are my friends

publicastration 11-19-2007 01:07 AM

They sound like emo bands. That's not bad though, I quite like some of the genre.

Damn I really need to find a band. I probably should sort out my hand endurance problems first though. :\

Charizard 11-19-2007 01:08 AM

Bataan = crossover with death metal vocals, and god damn Travis' lows are badass
ALAT and STWA = really generic metalcore with good musicians and bad vocalists

And yeah, hand endurance issues = band issues. OTDB broke up twice because Kevin couldn't play half our shit for the longest time because his hand would get tired.

publicastration 11-19-2007 01:10 AM

Ah. Sounds tolerable.

Do you have a set date yet?

C.O.A. 11-19-2007 01:12 AM

masturbation = greatest endurance workout ever.

Charizard 11-19-2007 01:12 AM

Not sure, nobody in the band told me about the show, our guitarist just told me last night that we're probably gonna play a three songs and cover Circle Of The Tyrants and Bite It You Scum for our first show. I just found out that we're apparently playing with Bataan some time soon because Travis was asking me about it tonight.

Apparently people don't like telling their vocalists things.

publicastration 11-19-2007 01:35 AM

Let me know.

The last show invite I had was to a christian hardxcore one; and the only reason I was going to go was because I know some of the guys that played.

Charizard 11-19-2007 01:42 AM

What was it, Apherimal Disparity?

publicastration 11-19-2007 01:47 AM

No, Ame Deus is the band I know, and some other band called I Am Alpha And Omega was playing along with one that I can't remember the name.

Come to think of it I think they're more like pop/punk core or something.

The show was even at a bloody church, so it probably wasn't anything "big" (by local status obviously).

Charizard 11-19-2007 01:54 AM

I Am Alpha And Omega is awesome. I've never heard Ame Deus, /myspaces.

Hmm no myspace, nm.

No they do have a myspace.

http://www.myspace.com/foreveramedeus

It's actually run together, I forgot. Not two separate words.

Charizard 11-19-2007 01:59 AM

Oh, word.

They're alright.

 at listing themselves as screamo/indie and playing metalcore though.

heh, Travis Ryan was the first death metal vocalist I actually listened to and enjoyed. My lows are very, very similar to his.

ATM 11-19-2007 09:38 AM

I am really enjoying Bolt Thrower. The only album I have is War Master, any other suggestions?

Mappy, if you ever tour in this area let me know. Then again, I plan on coming up to PA at some point.

masscows 11-19-2007 09:48 AM

For Victory and Those Once Loyal are both ace

ATM 11-19-2007 09:52 AM

I'll check them out, thanks.
