Myanrds voice gives the music a distant feel, his voice is pretty surreal, it doesn't rasp like people like chris cornell and stuff. It's is very smooth and he controls it well, his best moment is the last couple of minutes of Push!t. HIs voice can take the back seat easily, wheras other vocalists cannot do this.

there are so many aspects to singing, that not a having a HUGE range, doesnt mean you cant kick arse. Hes no classically trained opera singer, but he is prolly the best voice in rock right now

I dont think range is the most important thing in vocals but there is better singers in rock.

Alright Mike patton=Faith No More, Fantomas, Mr. Bungle, Solo prject among many others.

Mikeal Alderkeft=Opeth and done a stint with a band called bloodbath (I think thats there name)

Jarboe=Swans, Herself and a few others.
