Yeah, although I am not really into it like I used to be, but it's because of lack of time and DVD player.

Nice... very nice!...

I want that bass! And now ive become attracted to flamed sycamore!

It'd be nicer with a jazz body though!

Radiobass81 05-16-2005 02:14 PM

Indeed.

Thunder Fingers 05-16-2005 02:25 PM

Someone tell me a song i can learn from tabs right now :p

fatbandit 05-16-2005 02:27 PM

Martin, buy the DB500, you won't be disappointed! :D

Well, you might be, but I can't say there's much wrong with it at all from my point of view. Except the lack of side handles...

Thunder Fingers 05-16-2005 02:29 PM

that or ebs... but the roland is cheaper, so unless the EBS is the Devine Godlyness of Bass combos i might get that...

Radiobass81 05-16-2005 02:31 PM

^^ Which the DB700 has.

EDIT: Chris.

fatbandit 05-16-2005 02:34 PM

yes, the 700 does, but the 500 doesn't, which is the one I own, and the one Martin's considering. Just thought I'd give him my views on the one he was looking at :)

Also, the lead not being seperate from the amp annoys me a little, but not enough to discourage me from buying it. Tonally and soundwise, its great.

fatbandit 05-16-2005 02:36 PM

I have to say though, my DB500 was quite expensive, but I'd keep an eye on eBay for a 700 Martin. If you can pick it up cheaper, I see no reason why not to, unless you're dead set on the 12" of doom.

lemoley 05-16-2005 02:36 PM

hey guys

Jamie 05-16-2005 02:37 PM

12" of doom!!!!

fatbandit 05-16-2005 02:41 PM

Fair enough! :) I'm sure its not too hard to fit side handles if you're desperate for them. And if you're not, everyone is happy! :D

Dieforitall89 05-16-2005 03:01 PM

Curses...i want an ampeg growl but im so poor.

Gackt 05-16-2005 03:09 PM

Dieforitall89 05-16-2005 03:13 PM
I'm in love with Wals...
Aren't we all :).

Fatbandit: What do you mean the lead is not seperated from the amp? And, what about feature-wise? Really, there is not an amp that has as many good features, and I can safely say that. :)

Dieforitall89 05-16-2005 03:30 PM

Hey ls, how goes it?

fatbandit 05-16-2005 03:30 PM

The lead for the plug socket at the back would be better if it was detachable, ie a kettle lead.

Feature wise, its pretty cool, though I don't have the chance to pump up the volume and dick about with it too much.

One problem is, I stored an EQ, and it suits my sound fine and all, but I can't replicate it on other armps, because I can't remember what I programmed in
