they're finishing recording thier new album and i've heard a couple of pre production tracks and they're really good

QFT. They were one of the first metalcore bands I got into, and after branching out to some other bands, they blow so much compared to, say August Burns Red, Forever in Terror, Dead Man in Reno, and Parkway Drive. The worst part for me is the vocals, ****ing horrid.

O and I think As I Lie Dying needs to die already, they are epitome of horrible metalcore bands. It pisses me off when I hear people say they are one of the best metalcore bands. The only thing they are good at is introducing people to the genre.

Unearth and AILD did introduce me to metalcore as well, but I can still enjoy them.

Maybe for a listen every now and then, but I can't listen to an entire record from them (well MAYBE Unearth, it's been a while), after branching out to better bands.

Darkest Nights, from that album, is an actually decent song (probably because of the slight different sound), that I don't mind. Really, on most of their songs, the vocals are too screamy and boring and the guitars aren't varied enough to keep my interest.

O and anyone remember AILD winning MTV Headbanger's Ball Metal Gods award a year or 2 ago? lol

the only real metalcore bands i've seen you say you liked most people were like meehh they're ok but theres better. unless you mentioned converge and botch, in which case the result was everyone spooging. but those bands all own. and so do unearth. and aild for that matter.
