Eitri Is Berserk 02-07-2005 10:11 PM

Are all of the members of Metallica married?

Joe 02-07-2005 10:11 PM
I bet they had a few per show. :)
it'd be awesome having as many groupies as like the beatles did or some big band like metallica with crazy girls
Did you see SKOM? They had like a four hour therapy session with Lars and Dave and they worked a lot of things out. I think the sessions like that led to the apology Dave made
I thought that just pissed Mustaine off more? Didn't he try and get that out of the movie?

Joe 02-07-2005 10:17 PM
I thought that just pissed Mustaine off more? Didn't he try and get that out of the movie?
No, Dave agreed to have the cameras on while he was talking to Lars

Huber 02-07-2005 10:18 PM

Yeah, I made the post in the Community Thread. I also used the word "hell" in it without even knowing what number post it was.

That would rule so much. I'd love that.

What do you guys think Kirk's best, not most technical, solo is?

I'd have to say the Creeping Death solo. It fits so well, and is highly original.

metal_milita 02-07-2005 10:28 PM

^^ tut so harsh. Cheapshot at his looks, but 2 to 1 your uglier

I'm a real sucker for that solo at the begining of Trapped Under Ice. I don't know almost anything about guitar soloing so I don't have much a reason except I really like it. heh.

led_zep_luvr 02-07-2005 10:52 PM

what was the first metallica song you learned on guitar or bass or drums? this question is for everyone

ArcLite 02-07-2005 10:54 PM

Enter Sandman was the first I believe, followed closely by many other challenging black album favorites.

Jump in the Fire. I still love the first riff in that song.

On drums:
...And Justice For All

Guitar:
Sad But True

Hey does anyone happen to live in Arizona and play drums, preferrably in the west Phoenix area?

There aren't many very technical kirk solos, but the best metallica solos were the ones Dave mustaine wrote on kill 'em all

I'd take James' picking hand over hammet's anyday

That was so Metallica related.

Didn't Lars get divorced though?

vashts80 02-08-2005 12:22 AM

Lars got divorced, but he has 2 kids (3? I can't remember)
Kirk is divorced with no kids AFAIK.
James is marries with 1 or 2 kids
I dunno about Rob
Jason was married as well but got divorced, I believe.

Edit: First Metallica song I learned on bass was Whiplash..I can play the entire thing except the solo, I just haven't practiced that as much as the other riffs. I'd like to do Bells, but I don't have a wah-wah (or distortion for that matter)..speaking of which, I've gotta get my dad to go through his garage; he might have some pedals that I could use. 30 year old ones, but still.

Whiplash is pretty sweet. Even though it's not very hard at all, its still an awesome song.

I love finding cool things in the garage. It's always fun to try to find old CD's and stuff like that. Half of the Classic Rock I have comes from random boxes in my garage.

hammet_ownz 02-08-2005 03:20 AM

first song creeping death on bass. oh yeah.

die, by my hand, i creep across the land.

just those notes you cant stand still while playing

Godmic 02-08-2005 03:58 AM

St Anger is on of the worst songs I've ever heard. These guys have been writing the same song over and over for 15 years. If you like crap these are your guys.
