Jeff Waters said that the new Annihilator was going to be "pure thrash", and that was the biggest lie I've ever heard. I listened to the new song "Maximum Satan" and it was pretty much mallcore. It was so Slipknot-ish it wasn't even funny
Bahahah.

The only Annihilator worth my time is Alice in Hell, and that is far over-rated anyway.

NP: Jag Panzer - Cardiac Arrest \m/

MAthiAS 10-23-2005 02:13 PM

Meh, never really 'got' much of Annihilator's stuff anyway.

I thought the same exact thing.

FatalEnergy 10-23-2005 05:12 PM

With a song title like "Maximum Satan" you would think it would be an unholy thrash fest like no other. Waters sucks.

NP: Believer - Trilogy of Knowledge: Movment III - The Key (Hell of a song title, huh?)

Where'd you hear it? Glad to hear Jeff Waters is still a poseur.

EDIT: I just heard it, and if they had a snare hit on beats 2 and 4 throughout the whole song and not just the last few seconds, it would be 100x more thrashy. Having just one snare per measure ruins that song. Oh, and whoever wrote that breakdown needs to be shot.

I have seen it a couple of places on forums. If you want to hear the utter suck fest, then let me know. :)

NP: Exhorder - Death in Vain

edit: oic, too late.

Thanks for that Demolition Hammer. This is some crazy/brutal stuff.

RavenousMetalist87 10-23-2005 08:54 PM

I'll spare myself the rest of the Annihilator album.

I tried to be open minded and accepting but it was just a big disappointment to me just right after that horrible intro...of MAXIMUM SATAN...

Cliche :upset:

I've heard better from death metal bands. As well as really uber cool thrash bands.

Speaking of death metal, I got bored and started looking up a bunch of Death tribute pages on MySpace.

I need to get Leprosy...and listen to a lot of Death and new albums from the legends (Destruction and Exo fucking Dus!)

MAthiAS 10-23-2005 09:33 PM

Yeah, I still need to get Inventor of Evil as well...

FatalEnergy 10-23-2005 09:37 PM

Inventor of Evil is pretty good, I like it. I might just be a Destruction fan boy though. A few songs are kind of forgettable, and there is a few forced moments, but I still think it completely rules. I just got some Exhorder, I can't believe I was missing out on this stuff.

NP: Exhorder - Slaughter In The Vatican

Sorry for my absence and no mailing list. My parents took the internet away from me :(

RCA 10-24-2005 08:20 PM

More like Maximum Mallcore Faggotry.

I wonder when Marquee will put out the rest of the Sacrifice rereleases. I want to get my hands on those bonus tracks. :D

NP: Malicious Intent - Vengeance Of Time

FatalEnergy 10-24-2005 08:23 PM

Yeah, I definatley want Soliders of Misfortune, I still haven't got Torment In Fire yet. I'll have to do that

NP: Possessed - The Exorcist

So when's the new mailing list gonna go forth, Jonny boy.

I'm having trouble deciding on what album to send out. It's a 4 way tie between Slaughter In The Vatican, Hazardous Mutation, Possessed By Fire and Life Of Dreams. Which should I do?

NP: Exumer - Xiron Darkstar

Definitely Possessed By Fire. One of the best debut thrash albums ever.

Apocalyptic Raids 10-24-2005 08:49 PM

Slaughter In The Vatican would be good. Sock it to them Pantera fanboys.

Hopefully it will be sent in a few days.

Check out Dargon's location!!

RCA 10-24-2005 08:56 PM
Check out Dargon's location!!
That was DTP Crew-era Dargon. He had the entire DTP Crew rules spanning his Interests, Location, etc. fields, which is why it shows up like it does.

Apocalyptic Raids 10-24-2005 08:59 PM

I know that honey-buns. IIRC I even had that at one point.

I must screenshot that and taunt him with it though.

NP: Demolition Hammer - Envenomed
Ah, yes, whoever fixed you on some Demolition Hammer gets some imaginary rep from me! One of my favorites...

Phobophile 10-25-2005 10:35 AM

I saw Exodus Sunday night(along with Watch Them Die,3 Inches Of Blood, and Crisis) and it was awesome. The place I seen them at was this tiny little bar. I got hit in the head twice by Gary Holt's guitar so he gave me a pic and me and my friend even got to make small talk with the bands afterwards. Exodus put on a helluva show. Really long too. Mostly stuff from Tempo and Shovel except for "Bonded By Blood" and a couple songs off of Fabulous Disaster. But no "Toxic Waltz" It's kind of surprising that one of the biggest American metal bands of all time is still playing bars like this but it was super cool.

FatalEnergy 10-25-2005 01:15 PM

HA! Exodus for me next week!

NP: Hear 'n Aid - We Are Stars (Has anyone else heard this song? Not thrash, but still some good stuff for anyone who digs 80's metal)
