^ I don't think so. Dyers Eve is just playing with wah pedal with a few fast lines.
|
doesnt matter, their solos rule
|
^who doubts?
if you've been playing 2-3 years, well, then you should be able to do any of them. but like me, i've been playing 3 years only pretty good and all i got down is Fade to Black, One, Wolf and Man, and Nothing Else Matters. (the only one i've tried otherwise is Puppets, but i've only looked at it once)
I can bearly play the first fade to black solo, first sanitarium solo, the intro to 2nd MOP solo (slowly and sloppy), and the sandman solo sloppy. I've been playing for 3 years. I guess it's the fact that I don't practice enough. I find the Leper Messiah solo is tough, mainly the intro. It's like a sweep, and doing the sweep up the fret board it tough for my small hand and fingers. |
^it's not because you don't practice enough. It's because you probably never try hard to master anything. All Sanitarium solos are easy, last Fade To Black is also easy. You just have to say to yourself: "I won't leave this guitar until I master it" That's all ! You spend 4-5 hours to learn the basis of a certain solo. The rest (speed, accuracy) will come in a few days. You can't learn anything perfect in one day.

Yeah, small fingers is a problem

kirk
^ yeah. Like how they did with black album. I mean they showed the world they can play incredible metal (everything before the black album) and then they showed the world they can be artists too (black album) if they do that again i will definently buy their album...
The black album is overrated kirk used waaaaaaaaaaaaay too much wah on all those songs and those songs are so blan compared to their old ones. They know need to get a new lead guitarist or at least convince kirk to solo and use good tone. |
^Kirk had a very good tone on Load and Reload

i agree that he used too much wah, but he has amazing tone on most of the albums. you just need to listen to all their stuff |

for more than one thing |

I really hate it when he uses wah wah on the Fade to Black solo live. |
i dont know dude it was awsome when i saw but you know the whole concert rocked
|

I completely agree. I think Kirk overdoes it on the wah a lot. Also one really sweet song that I think his solo almost ruins is Harvester Of Sorrow. Its really slow and it just doesn't seem to fit with the song in my mind. Also, yes he definitly overused the wah pedal on The Black Album. I actually didn't like that album, although lots of people probably did.... |

I don't hate the Black Album, but it was pretty much the beginning of their transformation into a completely different band. Everything after The Black Album was pretty much a different Metallica. It was still good, just not the same.

yea but i dont know how thety could return to the old stuff. i think they switched because they knew they couldnt make another Master of Puppets

I think they switched either because they wanted to do something different with their music, or sold out and wanted a new fan base. Enter Sandman is pretty commonly played on the radio.... |

When people say Metallica sold out, I dont understand what sell out means. Are you saying they "sold out" because they started makeing worse music? Because that just wouldent make sence. Wouldent makeing better music = more money? |
Many considered them to have comprimised their style. They started as a solely Thrash band but then progressed, although that not being the best of words, to just accessable Metal.
|
Unfortunatly I think they're dying but they may just produce a good album. Theres no way they could go downhill.
yeah, they have thier old stuff to fall back on. |
thier worst album has to be re-load, thier best has to be ...and justice for all.
|
thier worst album has to be re-load, thier best has to be ...and justice for all.
