Hahahahahah. Quick story about my family, specifically my mom, about our trip to Universal Studios a couple summers ago.

My mom isn't big on roller coasters and scary things. But, since The Mummy was the brand new ride (and the building it was in was pretty impressive), she wanted to go in.

Little did she know it was actually a ride (even though I told her that).

Of course, she's asking the workers there "Is this scary?" and things like that, and so naturally they have to act like it is: "Oh, definitely, the scariest ride we have - it'll chill you to the booooooone!"

So, while we're sitting in line, my mom is pretty much on ultimate freak-out mode. She could have bailed so many times and I would have gone with her (I never saw any of the Mummy movies so I didn't really give two shi[font=verdana]t[/font]s and a fuc[font=verdana]k[/font] about the ride to begin with), but nope, she sat down next to me in the cart.

To make a long story short, she went from ultimate freak-out mode to screaming lunatic, especially when the tracks change and you fall straight down backwards and then on an angle, and getting misted, and seeing all the animations and 'scary noises,' and what-have-you.

And so, that's probably the scariest thing my mom will ever do in her life - and she survived.

And she never told the story as in, "I conquered this ride even though I was petrified," it's always, "Oh my God, it was terrible, it was scary as hell, I could barely walk after because it was so scary..." and so on. Eventually, I got her to tell the real story to her co-workers when I went out to lunch with her on her lunch break with her co-workers, and now she has some form of pride in doing that ride.

It was still funny as hell, though.

Thats a funny story. My mom doesnt realy do any rides. The first time we went on the Jurassic park one, my mom ripped her raincoat in the big drop at the end.

my grandparents...or only my grandfather ...i dont remember...went with us on The Mummy and they liked it.

My grand mother loves water rides. At islands of Adventuures her favorite ride is probably The Popeye one. We get such a big laugh out of that ride when we come out all soaked and stuff.

i just went there this past september. On day 2 at the park i had the WORST head cold. Rides like "back to the future" were a nightmare for that reason.



When i did the Jimmy Neutron ride, i INSISTED that we ride in the NO MOTION seats.

I bought Morningrise about a week and half ago and got it for 16.99 US$.

for some reason, my girl gets really jumpy during those rides. I think she screamed more during that, then any roller coaster or ride at disney world.

The Back to the Future ride sucks, even without a headcold. I thought I had a concussion coming out of it because I sat in the back row, next to the door, next to my dad, who's a pretty big guy. I mean, I'm just as tall and maybe taller than him, but he outweighs me by fifty pounds or so, and those rides were cramped as hell.

Rides: Jaws, Twister and Terminator 2. All good rides.

I rather Islands of Adventures though...

we did the doctor doom tower of doom. The MIB ride was cool as hell, where you shoot targets. I beat the sh!t out of every the ENTIRE day cause i realized early you could just hold the trigger down :lol:

Spiderman was done, jimmy neutron, shred 3D, the mummy, the TWISTER ride which is more of a demonstration then actual ride.

Forgot about MIB. I was lucky when it came to Dueling Dragons, never waited very long. Uusaly wait about 15 minutes. The line has nice scenery though.

The Eeight voyage of Sinbad is funny too. Sinbad at the end was waving to the crowd goodbye, and like a big idiot i waved back :p ..that was a few weeks ago too.

didnt do the sinbad thing, but i DID break my second pair of sunglasses there. I bought a pair of Oakleys from a dude in the surf shop right outside the front gate. The guy has his jaw wired shut. After conversating for 10 minutes he asks THEN if i can understand him :lol:

i think we are going back in 08'. I was surprised how much i liked it being 23

I was just at Universal/Disney this past summer. I though The Mummy ride was one of the coolest rides I'd ever been on. Spiderman and MIB were awesome as well, Spiderman was well worth the ridiculous wait.

And the Aerosmith rollercoaster at MGM, that was beyond awesome...
