Eliminate him man

Eliminator 10-23-2007 07:59 PM

The capacity of human intelligence seems to limit the capabilities to expand upon any possible creative aptitudes. Indeed, if one cannot even notice the facets that the ingenuities around him are comprised of, how can he be expected to fashion a beast of his own? This inveterate sense of constraint is a great blow to the veracity of mankind’s abilities. It restrains us and holds our minds to the ground below, averting any possibility of rising above ourselves to something greater; something not fathomed by the conventional mind. This concept of seeking to go beyond one’s self, known as “transcendence”, is essentially a gateway to unlocking pieces of ourselves that can lead to some of the most elaborate and significant creations of our world. For many, this quest to transcend and form creations that were once considered unthinkable and overwhelming consumes life. Certainly it is rare to find such people, but when they are found, creative barriers are destroyed.

I was actually just reading that review.

Deth 10-23-2007 08:04 PM

I wanted to punch the author of that review. I don't even remember what album it was for, just that it was the most overblown thing ever written for an album.

Anglachel 10-23-2007 08:05 PM

Link please?

Deth 10-23-2007 08:07 PM

http://sputnikmusic.com/album.php?reviewid=13913

His other reviews are alright as well, which makes this even more annoying.

Eliminator 10-23-2007 08:10 PM

that's not the review

Angmar 10-23-2007 08:10 PM

No that's not it. http://www.sputnikmusic.com/album.php?albumid=11203
That is it.

Deth 10-23-2007 08:11 PM

Damn, well it's equally pretentious anyway.

gmoneyguy 10-23-2007 08:24 PM

Are you running windows 98?

Anglachel 10-23-2007 08:25 PM

On that computer, its Windows 2000 Server Edition

Eliminator 10-23-2007 08:25 PM

windows 2000 lol

Anglachel 10-23-2007 08:27 PM

Its all I have to install and the damn thing only worked DOS when I got it

gmoneyguy 10-23-2007 08:27 PM

lol @ using an antiqued OS

Anglachel 10-23-2007 08:28 PM

I'm running a server on it so it seemed appropriate

Iluvatar 10-23-2007 08:32 PM

I think just using XP would make your server run more efficient as any version of windows 2000 really sucked it up.

gmoneyguy 10-23-2007 08:34 PM

That also depends on the processor and memory. If the computer can't handle XP then 2000 would be a better suite for a server computer.

Anglachel 10-23-2007 08:42 PM

Erm well you see...its got 1.8 GHz, 2 GB RAM and still has 3 of 4 RAM slots left, and is an Intel Xeon (two big cpus)

but you see, I dont have a copy of XP with me. My options wer XP for 100 bucks, or 2000 Server for free from a friend (which when I look up has a price of 300 bucks)

gmoneyguy 10-23-2007 08:44 PM

Free is always a good choice.

Iluvatar 10-23-2007 08:47 PM

Ah well I guess a pirated copy was out of the question so good deal around.

Invicta_Veritas 10-23-2007 08:48 PM

I want to upgrade to Vista (I have XP now) but it tells me I don't have enough RAM or some shit...

Niflheim 10-23-2007 08:50 PM

that probably means you need more RAM

Anglachel 10-23-2007 08:50 PM
Ah well I guess a pirated copy was out of the question so good deal around.
Yeah you cant get Windows updates with pirated copies and you get messages all over windows about it.

At least, thats what happened with one of the computers here that had a pirated copy

EDIT: lol BRA probably has like no RAM in his computer not to be able to upgrade

EDIT2: oh and the server towers were cheap because the hostpital mom works at was selling them to be recycled or something so they came with cool medical cards and stuff. Yes I have 2, but only one works atm :-\

ATM 10-23-2007 08:50 PM

Hey guys.

Iluvatar 10-23-2007 08:51 PM

Wait another 4 or 5 months anyways.

@ vista
I want to upgrade to Vista (I have XP now) but it tells me I don't have enough RAM or some shit...
Any reason why? I really don't like Vista very much at all.

Invicta_Veritas 10-23-2007 08:53 PM

I dunno. Figured it would be better. My ex got it and she likes it. But I've also heard bad things...

Anglachel 10-23-2007 08:53 PM
And that's supposed to mean what?
It means your computer must suck tbh

EDIT: My siblings have Vista on their laptops. Absolutely everything you can possibly do has a security notice to it and when we tried to purchase it we were bugged by the salesman to purchase another 100 bucks in crap just to ensure Vista worked. We didn't actually purchase the extra ****, though.

Invicta_Veritas 10-23-2007 08:55 PM
It means your computer must suck tbh
Not really. It's fairly fast and I run DAW's on it and such. It's an average newer PC. I just downloaded the tool that's supposed to tell you if you can upgrade, and it said I couldn't. Reason listed: Insufficient RAM.

I couldn't believe it. Maybe I should run it again to be sure.

RAMs cheap anyways, so thats no problem. Just make sure you purchase the proper kind lol

Iluvatar 10-23-2007 08:58 PM

The minimum req for vista is a gig so whatev.

Vista still sucks anyways, I'm going to have to upgrade soon because games are going to start running Vista only soon.

Invicta_Veritas 10-23-2007 08:58 PM

Isn't it usually like 80 (US) a stick or something (RAM, that is)? I know it's not horribly expensive.
