I'm wondering why people can't just go "eeeeee", it isnt that hard. There's no real reason to put a consonant on the front of a squeal unless it's the first letter of the word they're saying, which it usually isn't.
BECAUSE ITS ****ING HEARTFELT |
I think bree-ers must really like brie cheese.
Brie is ****ing ace.
"BREE" ing allows them to do stuff like "bree boo boo bree boo boo brrrreeeee"
rather than just "eeeee e e eee eee eeeeeee" I guess. |
You forgot wheeer, wreeer, looo, gooo, uuugh, and tree
"eeee ee eeee eee eeeee" sounds better during slam riffs/breakdowns, but I guess I can see why you'd use other thingermajiggers.
When I squeal I have to go "uhheeeeeeeee" and hold it but not accent it in certain parts if I want to create something other than a long solid rhythm, other wise I have to go "uh" again. Could just be my technique. |
I have a video for the bree contest on youtubes

Dipset.
hustlin' hustlin' |
yeah your squeals sound totally different from mine.
The one in the beginning is exhaled and the ones at the end are inhaled, am I cool now?
I can't do exhaled vocals at all aside from non-death metal sounding screams. My technique for that is just trying to sing higher than my range will allow me and it comes out with a scream in my upper-throat.
Mappy we should do a project.
Dipset Momentum Bree Revival.
I'm in too to add ambiance. |
And mariachi
Mappy we should do a project.
Cattle Decapitation is so awesome
And easy tbh
that's part of why it's so fun i'm not too good at playing brutal pickgore slamriffs |
Doom with brees rofl.
I can play black mettle.
Traditional doom with brees ftw
Have you guys heard diSEMBOWELMENT?
Doom thread plzkthnx
Traditional doom with brees ftw
ROFL |
I would buy anything that a Mappy/Lee band puts out.
I'd do only the most guttural slam vocals.
Mappy you should do some guest vokillz on WOR. Right after Lee's moans/singing.
I need to get a way of recording at home set up.

Sweet, then I'll have two NADY mics.
Indeed. I could stand for the quality to be a little better though.
I think the opposite. For something that was filmed back in 89 the quality is ****ing great. Besides, I don't think it's bad to begin with. I just hate how it turns black between songs while Vincent is talking and stuff. Retired: record store. I also bought Like an Ever Flowing Stream, Leprosy. |
I saw that Morbid Angel video at my cousins house, I remember it being pretty awesome.
Morbid Angel's so weak that The Justin Longshore Band covering their work is less boring... and that's pretty boring.
Sick edit.
Agreed, imo.
Altars of Madness destroys pretty much everything talked about in this thread.
i've seen Morbid Angel live and they played most songs by "Altars of Madness" - live they are a fantastic band; One of the best concerts i've seen in my life!
