I'm wondering why people can't just go "eeeeee", it isnt that hard. There's no real reason to put a consonant on the front of a squeal unless it's the first letter of the word they're saying, which it usually isn't.
BECAUSE ITS ****ING HEARTFELT

publicastration 01-10-2008 04:43 PM

I think bree-ers must really like brie cheese.

i am the robots 01-10-2008 04:47 PM

Brie is ****ing ace.

Toaster 01-10-2008 06:00 PM

"BREE" ing allows them to do stuff like "bree boo boo bree boo boo brrrreeeee"

rather than just "eeeee e e eee eee eeeeeee"

I guess.

i am the robots 01-10-2008 06:02 PM

You forgot wheeer, wreeer, looo, gooo, uuugh, and tree

masscows 01-10-2008 06:10 PM

"eeee ee eeee eee eeeee" sounds better during slam riffs/breakdowns, but I guess I can see why you'd use other thingermajiggers.

When I squeal I have to go "uhheeeeeeeee" and hold it but not accent it in certain parts if I want to create something other than a long solid rhythm, other wise I have to go "uh" again. Could just be my technique.

i am the robots 01-10-2008 06:11 PM

I have a video for the bree contest on youtubes

NemesisDivina 01-10-2008 06:16 PM

Dipset.

hustlin' hustlin'

masscows 01-10-2008 06:16 PM

yeah your squeals sound totally different from mine.

i am the robots 01-10-2008 06:20 PM

The one in the beginning is exhaled and the ones at the end are inhaled, am I cool now?

masscows 01-10-2008 06:22 PM

I can't do exhaled vocals at all aside from non-death metal sounding screams. My technique for that is just trying to sing higher than my range will allow me and it comes out with a scream in my upper-throat.

pate 01-10-2008 06:22 PM

Mappy we should do a project.

TojesDolan 01-10-2008 06:23 PM

Dipset Momentum Bree Revival.

I'm in too to add ambiance.

pate 01-10-2008 06:25 PM

Cattle Decapitation is so awesome
And easy tbh
publicastration 01-10-2008 07:51 PM

ROFL

Deth 01-10-2008 08:13 PM

I would buy anything that a Mappy/Lee band puts out.

i am the robots 01-10-2008 08:14 PM

I'd do only the most guttural slam vocals.

publicastration 01-10-2008 08:24 PM

Mappy you should do some guest vokillz on WOR. Right after Lee's moans/singing.

i am the robots 01-10-2008 08:25 PM

I need to get a way of recording at home set up.

i am the robots 01-10-2008 08:29 PM

Sweet, then I'll have two NADY mics.

Stormrider 01-12-2008 02:33 PM
Indeed. I could stand for the quality to be a little better though.
I think the opposite. For something that was filmed back in 89 the quality is ****ing great. Besides, I don't think it's bad to begin with. I just hate how it turns black between songs while Vincent is talking and stuff.

Retired: record store. I also bought Like an Ever Flowing Stream, Leprosy.

Angmar 01-12-2008 03:26 PM

I saw that Morbid Angel video at my cousins house, I remember it being pretty awesome.

i am the robots 01-12-2008 03:30 PM

Morbid Angel's so weak that The Justin Longshore Band covering their work is less boring... and that's pretty boring.

Bordello 01-12-2008 03:32 PM

Sick edit.

i am the robots 01-12-2008 03:32 PM

Agreed, imo.

Stormrider 01-12-2008 04:24 PM

Altars of Madness destroys pretty much everything talked about in this thread.

repcak 01-12-2008 04:26 PM

i've seen Morbid Angel live and they played most songs by "Altars of Madness" - live they are a fantastic band; One of the best concerts i've seen in my life!

TimJim 01-12-2008 04:43 PM
