You've never tried it but you're saying you can't find an accurate tab...

Well I have a live video of Angel's Don't Kill so I can check positions if I want.
i took the version from mysongbook.com (GP4) and clicked on "play" and realized that it doesn't sound like on the record. the notes are all wrong... it must be in the wrong key.

kurrpt 02-08-2006 07:46 AM

i FINALLY got back my few CoB CDs. It took about 5 months, but they are on my IPOD and kicking :thumb:

MRDuCran 02-08-2006 09:45 AM
Its easier to pick up the melody when you already know what the chords are.
What?
I was working on TL&S earlier, I just get hung up on the position shift.
What position shift?

I don't know that song but I might have a look at it later if I remember.

M7S 02-08-2006 10:19 AM

Haven't heard much COB.

Any albums you can recommend?

MRDuCran 02-08-2006 10:23 AM

Most people will tell you Follow the Reaper, which is classed as their classic.
Then Hatebreeder which has alot of neo-classical elements, such as their first album Something Wild. Hate Crew Deathroll is more of a new sound and sounds a bit darker and more angry overall. I doubt anyone would reccoment Are You Dead Yet? for a first album since it's going more mainstream but still rules hard imo.

kurrpt 02-08-2006 10:29 AM

hey could you upload death toll bro?
s

MRDuCran 02-08-2006 10:51 AM

I reckon you shud buy it, its definately worth it.

kurrpt 02-08-2006 10:55 AM

i havent purchased any actually

after i got my collection stolen, i kinda shy away from 18 CD purchases

MRDuCran 02-08-2006 11:00 AM

Help out the almighty muthafukkin' Hate Crew and buy their sh!t.

ALSO GUYS!

Apparantly Alexi is finishing up work on a new Sinergy album and will tour with them after, I might go of they come through London.
I think it's due around May time.

kurrpt 02-08-2006 11:00 AM

nah, id rather go to their shows. The record label gets like 95% of the money from CD purchases

Lil’ Bloodred Ridin’ Hood 02-08-2006 11:51 AM

i still have never heard any songs by sinergy, are they any good at all

kurrpt 02-08-2006 11:52 AM

well, i would think so. If you watch that passage to the reaper video, i think that other guy is in sinergy, or something.

if thats the case, i would bet

repcak 02-08-2006 12:24 PM

the other guy is roope latvalla and he plays in CoB now... but once i saw a video of Sinergy where he was playing too; so i think he is playing in both bands, though his "main" band is still stone.

MRDuCran 02-08-2006 12:34 PM

Mandy, I'll send you some songs later ok.

Passage to the Reaper isn't a Sinergy song or anything though so don't be mistaken. But the fukkin guitar solos on the "Suicide by my Side" are incredible, just 16th note craziness from both guys.

kurrpt 02-08-2006 12:36 PM

i wasnt saying it WAS

but if you watch the guys playing, you can tell he knows what hes doing

repcak 02-08-2006 12:39 PM

well, alexi once said that roope latvalla was his guitar idol during his teens. alexi was a big stone fan and thats why alexi bought from the other guitarist from stone his old (meanwhile stolen) wildchild-jackson-guitar.

roope latvalla is about 10years older than alexi and knows better than him how to play. his technical better than alexi.

Lil’ Bloodred Ridin’ Hood 02-08-2006 12:47 PM
Mandy, I'll send you some songs later ok.
Ok thanks

Britton 02-08-2006 02:22 PM

Roopa is right there with Alexi...but Alexi is like 10 years younger.

I would recomend AYDY to anyone who likes good music. The only people who seem not to like it are the COB fans...which doesn't make any sense to me.

Thanks for the passage to the reaper tab. It's coming along fast

PS: Mandy is my favorite name in the world

MRDuCran 02-08-2006 02:34 PM

They're not actually CoB fans over on that board btw, they hate them.

At least most of them do.

Shattered_Future 02-08-2006 02:44 PM

Diehard fans are crying sellout, pretty much.

Sinergy is good...chick singer = meh, her vocals are alright, but Marco Hietala is in the band. He makes everything superawesome.

Shadows 02-08-2006 02:46 PM

I dislike Sinergy. They're way too generic for me.

I need insanity in my metal, like the almighty ungodly shredfeasting of Dragonforce. *drools*

Shattered_Future 02-08-2006 02:48 PM

Mmmm...magic Asian.

Goddamn CBGBs sold out of DF tickets the day they went on sale. Bastards.

Shadows 02-08-2006 02:50 PM

Confound it! I would have been quite upset.

I dont like Are You Dead Yet i mean its ok but i dont like very many songs on the album,im getting into Hatebreeder tho right now its getting to be my fav. album i think instead of Something Wild

MRDuCran 02-08-2006 03:36 PM

I'm recording Living Dead Beat right now.
Only half of it though.

Lil’ Bloodred Ridin’ Hood 02-08-2006 03:46 PM

Sounds cool,good luck

chaos AD 02-08-2006 03:57 PM

After the intro going into the lead riff.

7th fret to 11th.

It's not that far, it's just the speed to play it crisp.
nah, id rather go to their shows. The record label gets like 95% of the money from CD purchases
QFT.

Buying cds doesn't support anyone but the fat fags sitting in their offices counting the money fly by.......

I <3 torrents.

I don't play that, I play the rhythm underneath so I don't actually know how to play it, I shud try.

Neither riff is hard at all.

It just gives me alot of trouble.

It's not the shift or riff.

I just have a hard time playing it cleanly going from one riff to the other.

MRDuCran 02-08-2006 04:34 PM

I see. I'll learn it another time. I need to focus on recording the songs I already know.

Shadows 02-08-2006 05:24 PM

Finally, tabbing Night's Blood! :) Expect me to be drinking damnation's wine very very soon.

I'm Charming 02-08-2006 05:39 PM
I see. I'll learn it another time. I need to focus on recording the songs I already know.
It's a great song.

I think I know basically nothing for playing a couple years.

Only whole song I still know is Raining Blood from Slayer.

I've know so many whole songs and parts of songs(that i was going to learn all of it)...then just forgot they existed.

I knew significant parts of every time i die, bodom beach terror and needled 24 7 and in your face. I was "going to learn the whole thing". That lasted quick.

Same with Nemisis and Pull Harder....

Beast and the harlot as well.

I think it's pretty pathetic for playing a couple years...only knowing one whole song...

I learn half a song and then want to learn another. Forget about the one I learned half of and onto the next. Repeat cycle...alot.. I wind up forgotting everything and knowing nothing. :thumb:

\end rant

EDIT:

I could name the whole songs I knew but that would be even more sad.

Shadows 02-08-2006 05:42 PM
I think it's pretty pathetic for playing a couple years...only knowing one whole song...
Don't feel bad. I've been playing for a couple years and I don't know any except for Stairway to Heaven that my teacher taught me in the very beginning.

I'm precisely the same way you are. I tell myself that I'm going to learn a whole song and lose interest after a while. Consequently, I know 1000000 odd riffs and no full songs. It sucks, but I'm trying to change that with Night's Blood. :)

Most people don't learn alot of Whole songs. I didn't really learn any songs fully until I took lessons, and that because I have to.

I think that would actually prolly be one big plus if I did take lessons.

I can teach myself almost anything on my own and anything I don't know I can ask my dad who's played for 30 + years.

Lessons would actually "force" me to do something though. I'd actually have too.

I have very low motivation except when I must do well. IE my college classes.

I know how that is! :p

I was inspired to learn LoG's Laid To Rest about an hour ago. Now I'm on the computer.
I was going to look for a Dream Theater tab, thats why I went on the internetz. That hasn't happened either.

I know about 10 000 riffs and two songs. I forgot to mention bloodline... haha that's bonehead simple though so it doesn't count.

Shadows 02-08-2006 05:53 PM

I've been taking lessons for years, but it doesn't help. If anything, it makes learning full songs harder, because now I have to work on theory and exercises for my weekly lessons while working in the stuff I want to do on the side.

Switching topics for a second, what do you guys think of this new avatar?

Of course we all knew that. :p
