Ryan Adams - Heartbreaker
Pretty good so far
Good work. I don't think you should get Love is Hell next though. It's good, but I think you'd be better off with Gold or maybe Cold Roses. Dig: Hot Snakes - Automatic Midnight Interpol - Turn on the Bright Lights |
Slick Rick, bitch.
|
Ryan Adams - Heartbreaker
The Drones - Wait Long by the River and the Bodies of Your Enemies Will Float By Common - Be I haven't listened to Be all that much, but I discovered, on this listen, that it is most excellent. |
This thing on BBC2 - The Armstrongs - seems to be using lots of the Nightmare Before Christmas soundtrack as incidental music. So I'm kind of being suckered into liking it without even knowing what it is.
|
Elvis Costello - My Aim is True
Interpol - Antics |
No.
You need some. Scientist Rids the World... is essential listening. |
Akufen - My Way
Too good to be real. This is the first "microsampling" or whatever album that I've heard, so this is pretty damn impressive.
Sounds interesting. By the way, "damn" isn't filtered now. Anyway, I think Surfer Rosa is a little better than Doolittle. But it's all good. (old news) |
Surfer Rosa is the king of albums.
I'm listening to Sabbath. WAR PIGS HAVE THE POWEEERRRRR |
Mischief Brew - Smash the Windows
Mischief Brew - Bakenal Mischief Brew - Some live show I got from the archive Erik Petersen - Mirth Erik Petersen - Live at the Punx Picnic in Baltimore Erik Petersen/Robert Blake - Bellingham and Philidelphia Last night I also spent 3 hours reading Watchmen and listening to Mission of Burma - ONoffON. |
Liars - Drum's Not Dead
still working on whether this is good or not.
Aaah, I like this record. It's got some very nice things going for it, experiments enough (for the Liars even) but maintains enough elements of pop that makes you come back to it. Chapterhouse - Whirlpool My LP arrived from Italy today (cheap price, actually) - very jazzed about that Supersilent - 7 |
The Good Life - Black Out
<3 tim kasher |
The Good Life - Black Out
<3 tim kasher
That's a decent cd. I like Album of the Year for it's diversity though. |
Prince - Purple Rain
Okkervil River - Black Sheep Boy |
Morcheeba - Charango
|
Johnny Cash - The Essential Johnny Cash
The Drones - Wait Long by the River... The Decemberists - Picaresque and now Handsome Boy Modeling School - White People |
Damn. Why have I not heard the Zombies before now?
Fucking awesome. |
Meat Puppets - II
Saccharine Trust - We Became Snakes We Became Snakes is the coolest album ever made, and Drugstore Logic is the coolest song ever made. Lots of people seem tobe diggin' that album by the Drones, i'm gonna listen to it and see what the hype is about. It betta be good. |
Mylo - Destroy Rock & Roll
(Kind of a blend of Daft Punk/Boards of Canada and Air, some pretty decent electronica) Jdilla - Donut (A DJs tribute to soul I guess? Probably my second favorite release of '06 after Kayo Dot's new one.) |
The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou soundtrack.
Also, I'm waiting for the new Augie March album... Here's a taste :http://antz.bur.st/random/AugieMarch-OneCrowdedHour.mp3 |

Talking Heads - Talking Heads: 77
Talking Heads - More Songs About Buildings And Food Man, these DualDisc re-releases sound great. |
Talking Heads - Talking Heads: 77
Talking Heads - More Songs About Buildings And Food Man, these DualDisc re-releases sound great.
They really do. The new stereo DVD mix of More Songs... gives it a vitality it never had. |
The new mix gives it a much fuller sound than the semi-dull original recording, but if you're not already a fan of the album I don't think it'd sway your opinion.
|
Yeah, if that was a big problem you had with the original you'll enjoy the re-release a lot more. I'm sure you can find an enhanced version on soulseek or something.

Cult of Luna - s/t

Please tell me that's from Space Ghost. But don't tell me that if it's not. It's just a saying man, you don't have to take it so seriously. |
Radiohead - Towering Above the Rest
Really, really good. It's amazing that these are only b-sides.
\m/ I love it too. As for me, I'm diggin the Dresden Dolls and the Pixies, with a little Built to Spill on top. |
with a little Built to Spill on top.
I'm really getting into Built To Spill. They do a great version of Cortez The Killer by Neil Young. |
I need to hear that. That's one of my favorite Neil tunes.
Nice avatar. Smithers: They aren't booing, they're saying Boo-urns! Somebody else: No we are definantly booing Hans Moleman: I was saying Boo-urns... |
