Sunshine 03-11-2008 10:59 PM

Dayum.
I really wanna play simtower, but can't download from abandonia 'cause its not compatible with Vista :(
Damn Windows and its lack of full backwards compatibility >=/

Seafroggys 03-11-2008 11:03 PM

oh man I poured so many hours into SimTower in 3rd Grade. My computer always got bogged down though since this was the mid 90s so the game would take like 30 minutes to go through a day.

It was designed for Windows 3.1 so compatibility beyond ME is debatable. I'm not even sure XP could run it.

Panopticon 03-11-2008 11:04 PM

XP can.
But that's as far as it goes.

I kind of want one of those Mac Mini things.
They're like.
A box.
Smaller than a camera box.
And its just a little computer.
It would be an awesome second computer for shore.

Berk 03-11-2008 11:41 PM

ugh, im prob gonna have to get my warts on my foot burnt off tomorrow.

****.

Pauly 03-12-2008 12:17 AM

Yeehaw, almost finished organising my 21st. Its gonna be sha-weet. Here's the invite that I created for it..

http://members.iinet.net.au/~scotpaul/invite.jpg

Some of its blurred out.. coz I guess i'm a bit paranoid :) Its gonna be printed out as a standard 4"x6" photo. I tested one last night and it turned out well, time to go down to the shops and print the rest. Oooh i'm excited.

Sunshine 03-12-2008 12:19 AM

Ohh very cool.
Happy early birthday 'n all o' that.

Pauly 03-12-2008 12:27 AM

Thanks! I turn 21 on the 1st of April. (and its not some kind of elaborate joke where someone creates a birthday thread and then I yell 'april fools!')

Sunshine 03-12-2008 12:36 AM

Haha, y'know I didn't even think that.

Win A Rabbit 03-12-2008 12:36 AM

yum re-baked spaghetti.

i have eaten good food today.

Sunshine 03-12-2008 12:44 AM

I ate waaaay too much cheesecake, but I was sad so I was comfort eating, which I almost never do 'cause usually if I'm upset or something I don't eat at all.

My boyfriend wasn't here to eat the cheesecake with me [we bought one and had a little bit every night he was here] and it was going to go bad so I had no other choice.
Definitely going swimming tomorrow and exercising my *** off.

Win A Rabbit 03-12-2008 12:48 AM

i really want the swimming pool in town to be built quicker than like 3 years so i can go swimming every day.

or i could just get my license and go to a pool out of town.

Sunshine 03-12-2008 12:55 AM

Haha. I'm going to start taking advantage of the free pool privileges, since the semester only has 8 weeks left [plus the last half of spring break].

There's talk of tearing it down next year :(

Win A Rabbit 03-12-2008 01:02 AM

lame.

our town had a big vote last year about putting in a pool, and it got turned down by 17 votes (it was somewhere in the 600's for each side, like 667-650).

and then the mayor and council found some loophole where they found some sponsors, so it will cost less to put it in (but still a lot) and then they decided themselves to go through with it.

i'm in favor of the pool but it was kind of a dickish move by them to put it to a vote, lose, and then go through with it anyways.

Sunshine 03-12-2008 01:04 AM

Aw yeah..but pools are good! People need to not be such lazy asses and go swimming more often.

My parents' town just put in for a pool.
But it's gonna take like 3 years or some very large amount.
My mom's happy. She doesn't swim very well at all, but her knees are all crappy so she can't run anymore and she wants to be able to work out somehow.
Bike riding and swimming.
Best exercising evar.

Win A Rabbit 03-12-2008 01:11 AM

yeah pools are wicked. plus it's going to have a gym and meeting rooms and a bunch of other stuff.

people's complaints at the open house meetings and stuff were hilariously stupid.

"i don't go swimming, why should it come out of my taxes?" you also don't go to school, use the library, have your children in daycare, use the parks at schools, play on a sports team, etc. it's a community investment.

"it's too much money to have to borrow. we need to get the cash first." right, because you bought your house with cash, right? there have been a number of surveys, and a pool/gym is the #1 thing the people in town see as a good investment. $7 million shared amongst an entire town for a pool is a whole lot less than $3-400,000 for you and your wife to shell out for your mortgage.
