You can't become a mod because of rep you can get stars if you have 1000 rep (which means you then have the ability to rep people). You have to be given modship by admin.

By doing things that help out the community, you can also get neg repped for spamming or making bad posts.

Usually by being a helpful user, making really good threads or being an informative poster. You can get neg repped for being dumb, saying something like "<Band Name> sucks etc..." or being really stupid.

You don't have to have a certain number of posts. Click " New Thread " at the top left of the forums. Make sure you read the rules first, and make sure there isn't already a thread on the band you were doing. :thumb:
