Comparing Blessed to Altars, Blessed does come off boring.

Pardon me for effectively explaining my feelings on a hugely overrated release by a band that is only slightly above average at best.

Verily so, Luc informed you that he is merely stating his humble opinion, and is not some corpse-painted brute.
Comparing Blessed to Altars, Blessed does come off boring.
Well, it is slower, but that doesn't make it boring.

Eliminator 11-16-2007 09:42 PM

he never said that it's boring because it's slower

LifeInABox 11-16-2007 09:43 PM

That was the only reason I could think of for someone comparing it to Altars finding it boring.

Deth 11-16-2007 10:03 PM

Well, there is that it's more boring as well.

LifeInABox 11-16-2007 10:10 PM

Rly?

Deth 11-16-2007 10:12 PM

It's not great, and I can certainly understand someone calling it boring.

pate 11-16-2007 10:15 PM

It's on par with Altars.

Deth 11-16-2007 10:17 PM

Eh, not for me. There aren't many memorable moments for me.

I like Covenant more than Blessed myself.

pate 11-16-2007 10:47 PM

Ugh Covenant

Invicta_Veritas 11-16-2007 10:51 PM

Other than the extremely dry production, Covenant is tolerable. Altars is by far the best. Domination is horrendous.

/discussion.

FatalEnergy 11-16-2007 10:52 PM

The production on Blessed sucks. I don't know what they were thinking after they did Altars.

Invicta_Veritas 11-16-2007 10:53 PM

//hasn't heard Blessed; can't pass judgement.

LifeInABox 11-16-2007 10:57 PM

Wow.

Angmar 11-16-2007 10:59 PM

I'm listening to the new Monstrosity right now and it pretty much rules, if it keeps up like this it will easily be in my top DM albums of the year.

LifeInABox 11-16-2007 11:01 PM

What other good death albums were even released this year anyway.

pate 11-16-2007 11:09 PM

Obituary was okay. Akercocke was pretty good.

LifeInABox 11-16-2007 11:12 PM

Obituary was meh. I had forgotten about Akercocke, I loved Antichrist.

Invicta_Veritas 11-17-2007 12:11 AM
Wow.
What's so wow about it? I own the other three; I'm not required to have listened to every single release of every band on the face of the earth.
What other good death albums were even released this year anyway.
There were plenty...

FatalEnergy 11-17-2007 01:01 AM

I don't remember any.

Riva 11-17-2007 01:03 AM

Obituary has gone downhill at an alarming rate.
