I dunno man, 2 decades of failure culminating in being kicked out of Indochina, with Cambodia and Laos subsequently coming under communist rule, while outnumbering and outgunning your enemy significantly sounds like a pretty definitive loss to me.
Edit: i'm not even reading Josh's post.
Yeah see that's where I think the most valid argument that it was an American loss is. The fact that our goal was to stop the spread of Communism in that region, and that's exactly what happened after we left. Militarily I wouldn't consider it a loss for the US. South Vietnam probably would've stopped the North by themselves, they had them outnumbered 2 to 1 and had way more tanks and such but due to the price of oil at the time and not getting any more US aid they couldn't use most of it. Either way the North definitely won and the South definitely lost. It was all France's fault anyway lol. |
I'm happy to place the majority, if not all of, the blame on France.
Vietnam is a fantastic place
You get a cool passport sticker type stamp when you visit, takes up a whole passport stamp page Also, If an American passport holder wants a tourist visa in Vietnam, its 5 times more expensive than a non U.S citizen... Understandable none the less Wish I was there right now :(
So if I visit w/ a Chinese passport, and leave w/ an American passport, would I save more money (assuming they want Americans out sooner)? |

This sentence can be used in so many situations, and it would always be justified. |

just stick to the chinese one, that would probably anger them, don't get an asian angry! and yes France is to blame for everything that goes wrong |

I can't believe I have class on New Year's Day. Unfortunately, I cannot not attend classes without being penalized. The only upside is that I will be attending my first guitar class.
On a related note, how would I bring a guitar to school without risking damage to it in <30°F weather? |

Uhhh, what?
On a related note, how would I bring a guitar to school without risking damage to it in <30°F weather?
Hard case. |
So there is like a 50% chance of snow in Houston, Tx tomorrow. If you've ever told some one, "I'll do that when hell freezes over." You might want to start doing those things now. Friggin global cooling man. Damn Eco-bastards are going to get us all killed.
//Yes, that is sarcasm
On a related note, how would I bring a guitar to school without risking damage to it in <30°F weather?
As said above: Hard Case That and carry it with you. If the thing is bone dry it shouldn't be hurt unless you are leaving it in those conditions for days on end. It is safe to say if you're uncomfortable then don't leave it there. Probably a little over-protective, but if you don't want to sit in a car for 5 hours waiting for some one in sub-30 degree weather then your guitar doesn't want to either. |
Uhhh, what?
Hard case.
chinese new year |
chinese new year
Ah. Gotcha. |
It's a joke that you don't get out of classes.
I mean, I'm guessing you're chinese, right? |
