I'm downloading from there with 300 kb/sec..
A shame I'm almost out of hdd space :upset:

ATM 03-30-2005 02:54 AM

The live Mogwai is really good.

denboy 03-30-2005 03:18 AM

It's funny how Jason Mraz' cd is really boring.. But his live recordings are amazing

AndreTheHyena 03-30-2005 03:57 AM

Seriously?

You're soo right. I can't listen to the studio stuff, it seems like production sucks the life out of him. The live stuff is awesome though. If I have people in my car/room with varying music tastes I nearly always put on the Java Joe's version of Dream Life of Rand Mcnally. Everyone's like "WHO is this?!". Especially when he goes into the remedy and does the poison rap, its sheer brilliance. He's got a great voice

You've all but blown my mind. Is this really praise of Jason Mraz?

denboy 03-30-2005 07:11 AM

If you can find it on soulseek, get Jason Mraz - Did I Fool ya .. That's the first song I hear by Jason, and I absolutely loved it.. Then I was dissapointed when I got his cd.

Plus go here:

and download that show. (you'll need a .shn codec though)

lilsolsman 03-30-2005 09:44 AM

I like jason mraz. Great summer feel to his music. Live is good, but i also like the studio stuff. Great pop music.

denboy 03-30-2005 10:35 AM

Yeah, the cd isn't too bad, but it pales compared to how he plays some of the songs live.. He uses his cool vocal phrasings alot more live

You go dude :thumb:! Best thing you can do for yourself, and boycotting big tobacco is one of the better things you can do for social justice, too.

So, I'm participating in this live show thing tomorrow. I'll be playing Trains, The Blower's Daughter and In A Little While (by Porcupine Tree, Damien Rice and U2) hopefully. I'm afraid they might cut one song off because the show is too long... there will be so many people playing.

Try to get recordings and post them! ;)

The NPC 03-30-2005 02:00 PM

Posting recordings is soooo 1998.

Trains must sound amazing live.

Did this become the music sharing thread while I was gone?

So, my internet connection died all day today. Which sucks, because I was in the middle of making a forum for me and my friends.

I thought they were upgrading my connection, but no.

YDload 03-30-2005 04:39 PM

I think this thread should periodically change its name like the other community threads. Something like "Chris Carraba's Bowl of Tears" or "Cedric Bixler's Crestfallen Phytoplankton Edifice Wound."

Iai 03-30-2005 04:44 PM

I don't.

We start trends, not follow.

(Can I write for Pitchfork now?)

sweboy 03-30-2005 04:48 PM

Another good name for this thread would be "Neogrimkluciaquialic Infurmafrestisticial Zarxitciolis of the Erunaklalix Devofragmentioxiciadezanlickal".

ATM 03-30-2005 04:50 PM

Sweboy, where in Sweden are you?

leiferikson 03-30-2005 04:50 PM

Just saw this guy who beatboxed, rapped, sang (harmony, with himself), played guitar and the didgeridoo. He did each bit then looped them so it ended with about 6 layers with him singing over the top, was crazy!

Iai 03-30-2005 04:50 PM

How about "Thread For NO Reason"?

I saw Damien Rice do something similar to that, but without the rapping and didgeridoo. Twas cool.
Sweboy, where in Sweden are you?
In a town called Borås. It's like 80 km:s straight east of Gothenburg. Here's where we keep it indie.

YDload 03-30-2005 04:54 PM

Sweboy get 10k posts already!

Also, the best name for this thread would be "OK Computer more like Oh Gay Computer"
