My school > your school
tr00. |
I go to the worst school. I was forced by my parents to go:
-Private -Catholic -All male -"academically elite" I'm: -Straight -An atheist Not a good fit for me. It sucked, too, because in religion, teachers knew I wasn't Catholic and would always ask for my opinions on stuff like abortion, gay marriage, certain Church doctrines, etc. Then, they'd argue with me. My papers were graded way harder, too. Other students just told them what they wanted to hear but for me I'd have to fight because they'd take off points for the dumbest stuff just because they didn't agree with me. Morons. -Gav |
Dayum Gav, that really sucks.

Hahaha, my friend goes to a school like that and is always saying how his school is so much smarter and harder than mine, but I can always say "Hey queer, we have girls at our school." or "Who got their ass kicked by our football team?
|
My college > your schools
Well until gay Gav gets in his famous upper league schools. |

 |
^ Dude, you know I worked my ass off for 12 years to get into an Ivy League school and I got rejected.
I checked online; 44% of Yale's admitted students were from overseas. :amaze: I was crushed. Apparently having a 3.9 GPA, 2250 on the SATs, 780 on SAT II Chemistry, 770 on SAT II Math Lvl II, 760 on SAT II American History, editor in chief of the school paper (been a staff member/editor for 3 years prior), starting and being president of a science club, captain of the math team, having won 5 scholarships and awards, being a National Merit Scholarship finalist (or something like that...didn't win but oh well), getting the Clarkson University, Dartmouth College (Ivy League school), and Brown College (Ivy League school) book awards, being a musician (bass, guitar, drums, vocals, in 2 bands), and being #1 in my private school of 191 students in one of the best high schools in the country isn't enough for Ivy League schools. I will forever hold a grudge and I still dream of Yale. I'm going to College of the Holy Cross. More Catholic school for me, but it's got one of the top 10 best undergrad chemistry programs in the nation AND it's top 3% for colleges that send students onto the best grad schools. I'm doing chemistry, by the way. -Gav |
Smarty McSmartSmart
I had a 3.6 GPA my senior year I think, never took the SATs, never won any scholarships, didn't take any AP classes, wasn't a part of any club, didn't play any sports. I am, however, in the best community college in the Bay Area, with the highest transfer rate to UC Berkeley, even though I don't ever plan on going there. My major is transfer studies and my major at the school I'm transfering to, Sonoma State which is an average CSU, my major is Sociology which isn't all that hard. And all for what? To open my own record store. College will play no part in my career. So why go? To learn, how nerdy. |
Haha, good luck with that, Nick.
-Gav |
I'll fail because I'm such a lazy bastard

Gav, you're like a genius or something.
Nope, sorry. I doubt it's even on the internet.

matt, thanks for writing and the kind words. i was indeed in Bells on Trike. we all remain good friends after all these years, and as you are in luck we have one of those tracks (rough) on our myspace page called "noville": http://www.myspace.com/bellsontrike also, bryan was able to get the original 8 track back that we recorded our unreleased ep on, so we plan on remixing them this summer and releasing everything on a cd. "I mean, not to brag or anything, but..." FACT: 'Some Natures Catch No Plagues' by Saetia is the most fun song to play on bass ever. |
I'm not bragging, I'm just saying. No offense but I don't care what you guys think of my academic accomplishments (or lack there of, if you think so).
That song is OK to play, I guess. I prefer to play that smooth jazzy part in Ariadne's Thread about a minute in. The bass plays harmonics during that part, but I play along with the guitar chords and play arpeggios over it at times, too. Mainly I just root that part. I dig the rhythm and tempo. It's catchy. -Gav |

My vinyl of Innominate should be in soon.
Dane Cook is so funny. I told neeshee he was as funny as dead puppies, but my problem was I was listenin to Retaliation. Harmful If Swallowed ftw. |
I told you he was awesome. Bill Hicks is funnier though.
