And you're an idiot who has probably only heard of black metal because of indie rockers namedropping WITTR.
You've just got it all wrong and I don't need to explain why. |
And you're an idiot who has probably only heard of black metal because of indie rockers namedropping WITTR.
You've just got it all wrong and I don't need to explain why.
No actually my first BM record was at 16 and it was Hvis Lyset Tar Oss I also find it curious as to why you can't exactly say why I am wrong. I mean if its so obvious then you should be able to point it out. All I am saying is that each genre comes with its stupid sacred cows and ridiculousness. You can't tell me with a straight face that grown men painting their bodies, wearing leather, wielding medieval weaponry, and giving themselves names like "necrobutcher" isn't even slightly ridiculous. |
It isn't totally serious. Stop looking at it like it is.
|
Of course it isn't all serious. We can agree on that. I mean, I don't think the majority of them are as dark as they let off to be.
We just disagree on somethings, no hard feelings to you or anything. I think we all just like black metal for different reasons. I find the different ideologies in BM to be pretty interesting a deep. Although there are many differing ideologies even within the BM culture and community, there seems to be one underlying emotions, or unifying theme that I think all BM comes back to: Dissatisfaction. Think about it, every BM album has some sort of dissatisfaction with something or someone, or both. Whether its religion, christianity, Zionism, modernity or what have you...it all comes back to dissatisfaction. BM is the ultimate antagonist genre imo. I find that to be the most appealing trait to the genre. I probably worded my arguments a bit harshly earlier...I do think bands that are more "raw" and sound grittier have their place and purpose in BM. They intentionally sound that way for various reasons that I don't think I need to point out to any of you. |
Mr. Ron is winning.
Mr. Ron is winning.
It's not really an argument so... Anyway yeah I know what you mean. Every type of black metal has its place and every type of black metal has lots of **** and lots of good stuff. You were being a huge douche though tbh. |
Meh, I don't see it, but if I was I was.
you don't know what you're talking about

I accept your apology.
I mean, its no secret that a lot of BM sucks. The better bands make up for the **** ones. So it all evens out.
that's any genre in general |
Yeah I agree.
I was in a bad mood earlier. :I |
The way masscows argued there was cowardly. The one thing I never do is avoid giving counterarguments and usually when I face someone disagreeing with me this is what I usually get. I disagree with a lot of what you say there Mr. Ron, but I'm actually going to say why.
You claimed that dissatisfaction is what is common in black metal but that can be extended to any metal genre and even perhaps every music genre. Metal in itself protests against something, showing their dissatisfaction whether it's through protesting political hypocrisy or promoting nordic culture. Amongst those bands that really understand what black metal is about corpsepaint and satanism is symbolic of rebellion against the established christian society rather than a real belief in the devil. The majority of bands are complete **** and follow their predecessors and this is particularly rife amongst black metal because it's probably the easiest genre to do that in, and is attractive to a bunch of teenage loosers who have decided one day they are elite because they listen to albums only 665 other people in the world have a copy of. |
Why does black metal have to have some deep underlining meaning/purpose. Is it not just music?
-_- |
Why does black metal have to have some deep underlining meaning/purpose. Is it not just music?
-_-
It does for him, and he is listening for himself. |
Why does black metal have to have some deep underlining meaning/purpose. Is it not just music?
-_-
it comes from not seeing music as entertainment |
WITTR are the best BM band at the moment imo
I agree. |
Wait, music isn't entertainment?
I agree.
Please tell me you're joking |
music is only entertainment for the false

To the true listener, music is pain.

The prison of mirrors... we can't see,
Yet trapped we are... by its reflection, It sees all fear and watches our downfall, It will rip all lies and pride from the soul. You are all... all that you hate, Force fed memories, suffer humiliation, Victim of darkness, of the inner hidden kind, I am the eye within the gleam, Shatter before a mirror that stares into (a shallow soul). Poison yourself... revel in waste, Poison yourself, in the name of evil... destroy yourself. I will always be the reason to hate your self, Mirrors... will oppress your mind, And follow all... all that you hide, Blind, step inside a subconscious warfare to guide the oblivious, Mirrors of torture, unforgiving expose your sins, Your suicide by the mirror's shattered blade. Black metal IS PAIN! |

no matter what sort of wordplay you kiddies want to use to justify it, black metal will never be about feminism, being a hippie and flowers like WITTR seem to think. black metal is satanic destruction not preserving rainforests.
|
this looks like copypasta from anus -.-
Well it could be found from a variety of sources due to the verity of the statement. |
