No idea just start daydreaming and certain songs remind me of things or make me think of things lol its really weird cant even explain it
For some reason So Cold by Breaking Benjamin makes me think of the movie Reign of Fire  |
Mehh... No more guitar for me... for a long while...
I was practicing a few min ago... I can't even play half a song without ****ing up ten times... I space out in the middle of a riff and my hand stops playing. I do that all the time, only with guitar though. Anything else I can focus on without a single flaw for hours. haha. If I hadn't been playing standing up with a strap across my back, I prolly woulda throw it out the ****in window. no ****, I have a nasty temper. I got back in practice just fine, thats not the issue. On a CoB note: I haven't listened to any CoB in about 6 hours. :p |
Play an easier song that you can play without fucking up? I don't know.
|

It's not the song. It happens with everything. I can play all the stuff just fine. My hand just stops. It's not tired either. Idk, idc. |
yey! CoB really owned yesterday. = D
|
Was the setlist good?
|
when alexi started to play guitar? and how old he was when he formed COB?
|
puh... i'm not sure, when he was 5 he played violin, and after seeing "for the love of god" by steve vai he decided to play guitar... i think he was around 10 or something. CoB was formed during school, but they had another name. they changed to CoB when they signed to a label. i.a.w.: all the band members he met during school (14years old) and the name CoB was born when he was about 20 |
Repcak your a bit off.
Something Wild came out when Alexi was 16 or 17 I believe. Lemme do the math.... |
Was the setlist good?
yee! but I do miss kissing the shadows... In Your Face and Downfall was the highlights... especiall downfall since it was the last song. Man I got reall ****ing thirsty in there. The first band (one man army and the undead quartet) gave out beer = D I got some, and that was veeery nice. :chug: |
when alexi started to play guitar? and how old he was when he formed COB?
he was 11 when he started playin guitar. CoB was formed in 1993, alexi is born 1979, count for yourself :) |
Ok he was 18 when Something Wild was released. Pretty impressive if you ask me. Although Jay is gonna be a child prodigy when Argonautica's first album is released he's gonna be like 15 years old
|
oh... hm... yeah i think i was a little bit off
18 yrs old when Something Wild was released... thats impressive. wow... |

He was young. Then again, the guitar on Something Wild is particularly impressive. |
Plus he wrote so much good stuff when he was only 16. It's scary to think that the stuff oyu write as a teenager might someday be on an album.

Yea, it still amazes me how good Alexi was at 16...I've got a long way to go till I'm as good as he was at my age. :( |

By the time you become as good as Alexi was at your age it won't be your age anymore. |

 Very true. NP: Imperanon - Staind |
Alexi's the greatest :-)
|
I suggest everyone here check out Metal Storm radio. It has a lot of cool stuff on it that I'd never have heard of otherwise. I found this awesome band called Tacere, it sounds like a Power Metal Opeth.
Any news on their next single?
Not that I've heard |
I just noticed that Bullet for My Valentine cancelled on CoB's next Us tour and are being replaced with Through the Eyes of the Dead. Interesting. I kind of like TtEotD.
|

Maybe in the special scenes or something
but there would be a "war of razors" for sure... duel: janne warman on keyboards vs. alexi laiho on guitar :D |

Also, they would probably have the drum solo and Roope's solo. They did that at the concert I went to, and I would imagine they would do that for this one as well. |
Does anyone have Norther's new album, that will send me some songs off of it via MSN? Sorry for not being related to Bodom... Well, Norther are friends of COB so :p
 |
I've only heard Evil Ladies, it sounded pretty good. Kalmah's new album comes out Feb 22 it is gonna be amazing.
|

Yea that's really what I had in mind I hope it's on there. |
Janne's keyboard was too quiet during songs when I saw them, which was disappointing 'cause his fingers were flying. He was the first guy I saw come out at the beginning too and he looked so mean!! Big fukk off beard and long straight hair...awesome.
|
Why were they to quiet?
|
I thought Norther's new album was more of the same...and boring.
Live DVD, though, that should be interesting. |
Almost time for me to leave for a hard night of beer and metal. \m/
|
I wish I was having a hard night of beer and metal, I aint doin shiot.
|
Woot. Time for me to attempt to stay up to watch some crap after getting a minimal amount of sleep after spending night at friend's house. A night of Chuck Norris, Opeth, and rather contrived musical tastes.
