~The*Lemon*Song~ 11-08-2004 10:30 PM

No dude, Floyd's the best music in the car...anyone can cut you off, be slow, and whatnot, and you just....won't...care. It's like, "yeah, whatever, I'll get there sooner or later"...plus it always makes me spacey, like DSOM.

Veteran of the psychic wars 11-09-2004 11:58 AM

Hmm, for driving songs, I'd have said Stairway To The Stars, by Blue Oyster Cult.
Which, funnily enough, is probably where the La Grange riff was derived from.

magicbus 11-09-2004 12:09 PM

I always liked the Immigrant Song in the car. Then there's always Bad Moon Rising, All Along the Watchtower and Fire, Life in the Fastlane, LA Woman, and stuff that's fast and loud. I'm sick of Rock and Roll though. I don't listen to that anymore.

What album is that off of? It sounds like a cool song just by the name.

lunch998 11-09-2004 01:46 PM

For the car: Highway Star. If your going really fast.

You can only play Rock And Roll if you have a Cadillac.

jpj 11-09-2004 02:18 PM

Bohemian Rhapsody and any Doors or ZZ Top songs are great to drive to.

drugstore cowboy 11-09-2004 03:03 PM

Before you say you don't like Live Albums, let me make you aware that this is one of the best live albums in history. That is an opinion shared by many.

But if you won't get live at the Fillmore, then their Self-titled is pretty good.

Badmoon 11-09-2004 04:41 PM

Everyone start learnin' about The Dead and The Allmans, we need to debate um.

IMO, not really. They have a few live albums. Filmore East really is there best album though, and is the best live album ever made overall. If you just want a good sampling, get the Best of cd.

Woodstock 11-09-2004 04:42 PM
Stand Back and Blue Sky = Best of Eat a Peach
Those are great. My favorites are Ain't Wastin' Time No More and Les Brers in A Minor.

I usually listen to my cd's when I'm ready to sleep so I really don't like all the cheering between tracks. I have Live Alive by SRV and it's great it really is but I don't know the cheering kinda makes me stay awake. Yeah I listen to CD's when I'm not going to sleep but again the cheering. I'll listen to Filmore East at the store and I'll buy it if it's hella good.

Yea! "China Cat Sunflower", "The Golden Road", "Doin' that Rag", "Mountains of The Moon", "Dark Star", "St. Stephen", "Beat it Down the Line" (to an extent).

*doesn't care for Anthem of the Sun as of now, nor does feel like naming tracks of it*

Yea, it'sw got swome good tracks. Though, I do prefer a few of them live.

FreebirdTPM 11-09-2004 05:22 PM

Psycheldelic songs...hmm Grateful Dead has more trippy songs then they do Psychedelic, Golden Road To Unlimited Devotion probly takes the cake for that category though...the Doors probly have a lot more psycheldelic stuff.

Scarelt Begonias by the Dead is pretty psychedelic..

BludgeonySteve 11-09-2004 05:29 PM

I have my R.E.M. tickets now :D. That's going to be amazorific.
