Streetlight....he's the only original member
All the horns left already?

Henrik 11-21-2005 09:43 AM

Nahh, are tou sure Jim Conti isn't touring still?

KingOfSka 11-21-2005 12:47 PM
All the horns left already?
I've seen a couple live videos, it seems that they have different people playing horns at every show.

DaveToopes 11-21-2005 01:25 PM

Did Jaime Egan leave too?

Theramed 11-21-2005 03:06 PM

I thought some of them were "temporarily replaced" due to illness and other things.
Did Jaime Egan leave too?
Yeah, a while ago. He did the trumpet and trombone on the album, so they never really had an original trombone player.

FenderSRX 11-21-2005 06:20 PM
Yeah, a while ago. He did the trumpet and trombone on the album, so they never really had an original trombone player.
thats catch 22 he did both trumpet and trombone, on streetlight they had a trombone player for the cd. And Thomas and Jim Conti are the only original members left of the band.

Teeb 11-21-2005 06:59 PM

I'm not sure about Catch 22, but I'm positive Jamie Egan played both on Everything Goes Numb.

DaveToopes 11-22-2005 11:55 AM
I'm not sure about Catch 22, but I'm positive Jamie Egan played both on Everything Goes Numb.
On Everything Goes Numb, he played trumpet and trombone. On Keasby Nights, he played trombone, flute, french horn, irish tin whistle, and did some vocals. So he didn't play trumpet on Keasby Nights, it was Kevin Gunther. I'm getting all of this from the booklets for both CD's.

gastery6 11-22-2005 12:35 PM

All those members coming and going must be a bitch to keep track of there names

DaveToopes 11-22-2005 12:39 PM

Yeah. I'm not sure I even know who is in Streetlight besides Tomas, and they never update their website with members.

TAND 11-22-2005 02:15 PM

Chris Pasiack or something is in on bass.

AIRIC 11-22-2005 02:15 PM

Their bassist rules.

This one is new, Josh Ansley was the one that recorded the cd.

gastery6 11-22-2005 08:13 PM

Doesn't like Thomas make the bass lines?

TAND 11-22-2005 08:38 PM
Doesn't like Thomas make the bass lines?
I wouldn't suspect him to, Josh was pretty sweet.

Buzzbomb 11-22-2005 09:55 PM

Looks like Streetlight are heading down the same path as Catch 22

KingOfSka 11-22-2005 09:56 PM
Doesn't like Thomas make the bass lines?
Tomas writes pretty much everything for Streetlight. Horn riffs, bass lines, guitar, etc.
Looks like Streetlight are heading down the same path as Catch 22
which is why i doubt that Streetlight will put out any more albums after Keasby Nights 2

Wherever Thomas ends up will turn out to be a fantastic band. Keasbey Nights was amazing. Everything Goes Numb was incredible. A Call to Arms by BotAR was stupendous.

TAND 11-23-2005 06:20 AM

It would be sweet if they didn't quit. They would turn out to be an even better band.

I like the use of different adjectives for each album.

Lukeh 11-23-2005 12:02 PM

I saw Streetlight the other night and they all had so much energy it woulda been hard to have believed that they were gonna split up at the time, besides, Tom goes through so many band members that this time it's not as if Streetlight are an actual "band" that can fall out and stuff, more just a bunch of musicians playing with Tom Kalnoky. Yeah, I see your point about not releasing another album though 'cos I guess it's pretty hard to be creative when it's like that.

For anyone interested I also got to see the Skatalites live on the exact same night, which was amazing. It meant missing the Skatalites 6 encores but it was worth it

DaveToopes 11-23-2005 12:15 PM

that sounds like one hell of a night.

Not necessarily. EGN was "we're robbing you" so the next could be "you're robbing us" ^^
