Hah. Hah. You're funny.

The part at 1.55 on "The Suffering", you could practically just change the words to "Pull the trigger and the nightmare stops", and it'd be the same part.
Also the backing vocals are the same too. I noticed that about "The Suffering" as well. Still, it's an awesome song.

I listened to the album again today, and it's hard to describe really. Every song sounds so similar in that it's very technical and complicated, but none of them sound the same. I can't stand Claudio's fake accent in The Willing Well I though.

Is the advance out on the p2p market by now?

It's been out for a couple of days. In fact, the link to mirrors has been plastered in the YSI thread a lot of times already, and it's been posted in this thread.

Still, I'm waiting for a better quality version before I get stuck into this record.

Meh the WMA's might have been sh!t, but the mp3's are OK quality i think.

DJ Ducksauce 09-02-2005 11:30 PM

Meh, The New album is getting old fast. I had high high expectations for this album too...:upset:

Reywas 09-03-2005 06:19 AM

After listening to the album for the 10th time I can safely say it's great. The only thing that makes IKSOSE : 3 better is The Crowing and Light & The Glass.Definetly not a dissapointment for me.

Dave1 09-03-2005 09:15 AM

The new album is pretty good, alot of the singing parts sound samey as the other stuff though.

I've been a coheed fan for ages now, it's cool watching them get bigger, and bigger.

I just read through all of the peoples idea's of the story on Cobalt And Calcium. There was one guy who I agreed with most of the way, I'll look for his post and copy it here, but I'll say where I disagree.

I think that in The Camper Velourium series however, that Al, being the racist rapist that he is, eventually can't fight the urge of raping and murdering Newo, and in Al The Killer, he is preparing to do the deed. When this happens though, I think that he triggers a part of the Monstar in Claudio, and Claudio goes crazy on his ass and kills him.

I took that bit from another interpretation from some guy there as well.

agrees 98% with poster above.

Arucard 09-04-2005 12:28 PM

Im listening to Welcome Home, and it reminds me of a less progressive Symphony X, and more pop-punk. Its great.

DepthsOfDreams555 09-04-2005 12:28 PM

Ya it is great!!!!

Fish 09-04-2005 01:28 PM

I can now play all of The Light & The Glass  well...Claudio's part.

The part at the end is hard to decipher.

chumpradio 09-04-2005 04:08 PM

Fuck, I am obsessed with Coheed now. I used to like them a bit, but I bought IKSOSE:3 the other day, and have been listening to their albums none-stop since then, trying to work out any new idea's for the story.

I found this somewhere else, and for the most part, agree with it:

The Camper Velourium (Al The Killer)
Claudio, Newo, Jesse, Chase and Ambellina hire Al to take them to House Atlantic

I: Faint Of Hearts
It's about Al's gun. (Sleep tight my love/gun) Al's a psycho; he's the kind of person who would love his gun. "My wanting just to hold your neck in my arms and feel me squeeze" - The neck is the barrel, squeeze the trigger "The sin that shapes your voice carries my ears this new disease" - The gunshot is his guns voice, and by shooting and killing someone would be the sin. "I'll touch it if you ask me to but how is up to you" - He could touch it by cleaning or caressing it which would be harmless, or he could use it to kill. "With all the words you say... you'll save"- again the words you say are gunshots, and I think Al is a good guy, just crazy, so he could save people with every gunshot. I think this whole song is introducing us to the character Al. This song while saying these almost sexual things about his gun, introduces him to us as an already crazy character, but while looking into his lyrics it almost became apparent to me, that there was some kind of murder, or some kind of killing with this gun that Al regrets. Al knows that he can use this weapon for good, and his gun kind of "taunts" him with this whole notion. While asking if someone took his guns "tongue" or the sound of the actual firing of the gun, Al contemplates why he ever put this weapon away (obviously a prized gun of his, probably a sniper rifle as mentioned in favor house, but more on that later) but as said before every time he looks at this prized weapon, this weapon that the "good eye sniper" is known for it beckons to him, asking him to pick it back up again, but he replies with things like "no I'm not going to give you what you want so if you please", so this whole dilemma is explained, and in the end it comes to a head when you realize he is indeed talking about a gun.
II: Backend of Forever
Al's feelings for Newo and her rebuttal of them, either spoken or unspoken.
III: Al The Killer
An insight into the character of Al.

Do you have a high voice like Claudio's?

cbmartinez 09-04-2005 08:53 PM

Tried listening to In Keeping Secrets... today. It's just so boring now.

Ya you man I haven't seen you on in a while. I don't really think Coheed gets boring its just they might get old to me, but if I listen again I wouldn't think it was boring.

TMA 09-04-2005 08:59 PM
Do you have a high voice like Claudio's?
My voice isn't high, but I can hit the notes just fine.
To add a bit more to it, I kind of did all the way up until he sings "Ignoring the words..." the second time, one octave lower, and then just broke out when he hits "Whiiiiiile". It worked really really well. So, apparently I now have to perform for every school event I have now.

I think I put SSTB way over IKSSE:3.
There's just something about it that I love so much more. I think they call it Everything Evil and Junesong Provision. :thumb:

cbmartinez 09-04-2005 09:03 PM

Yeah, even though I really can't stand In Keeping anymore and I don't understand why everyone is so obsessed with them, I'm still thinking about picking up SSTB just to give them another chance.

Like, three days or something. Like I said, I haven't been home in the past few days, so... bleh. Miss my girl too.
And I agree entirely. They can never get boring. I mean, I may sometimes over play it, but it can NEVER get BORING.

TMA 09-04-2005 09:07 PM
Yeah, even though I really can't stand In Keeping anymore and I don't understand why everyone is so obsessed with them, I'm still thinking about picking up SSTB just to give them another chance.
It's a completely different sound. While IKSSE:3 had poppy songs like Blood Red Summer, Three Evils, and Faint Of Heart, the closest thing you get to poppy at all is 33 and MAYBE Devil In Jersey City . Everything else is just completely different. Hearshot Kid Disaster and Junesong Provision are wonderful examples of it.

DepthsOfDreams555 09-04-2005 09:07 PM

Ya I agree and definetly get SSTB and if you don't feel like buying it I will upload it for you....it is better then IKSOSE.

Actually, I personally think that it IS better. They're all a bit more consistant in SSTB than they are in IKSSE, especially Mic and I have to say for Josh also.
