I like them too. The only song I have a problem with is Neither of Us Can See. I like the song a lot, but I wish they went in a different direction after the solo. It builds up but then just dies down completely to go into another verse.
It is a bit anticlimactic isn't it lol. I do like it though.

Skyler 10-12-2005 09:09 PM
There's only been three songs though. Ben and Mike should quit Incubus because they don't get to show off in 3 songs they wrote for a movie?
Argh. I'm talking about press coverage, and their latest tour in Europe and Latin America.

Sound Boy 10-13-2005 10:39 PM
I wish Mike and Ben would leave Incubus and start a new band where they can actually showcase their talents to full extent.

Incubus is all about Brandon now, and the record companies are exploiting that to it's full extent.
Blasphemy!!!

Brandon has his showcasing moments cause he can. he is getting better at singing and hitting certain notes. vocals are instruments too. if the record companies were exploiting it, they would havegot better press for Crow and they would have defintaly have been noticed on HALO2 better. face it the people that who have heard the movements and know its them is the FANs and if they were trying to exploit Brandon talents they woulda had him sing more on those.

and i think Mike showcased alot of his talents in CROW expeciall in "sick sad little world"

plus they have TLC

Sound Boy 10-13-2005 10:42 PM

Brandon + Mike + Jose are the dynamics of the group..without them you dont have incubus. and ben has his solo stuff and its not HALF as good as what he did in Incubus and the Roots

Janitor 10-13-2005 11:06 PM
and ben has his solo stuff and its not HALF as good as what he did in Incubus and the Roots
No way. Ben's stuff is awesome.

Sound Boy 10-13-2005 11:20 PM

its good just not AS good

Skyler 10-14-2005 07:22 AM

Will you fucking read the thread before you reply? Christ. Just forget I even said anything, it's apparent you have no idea what I'm talking about.

ween2424 10-14-2005 08:13 AM
There's only been three songs released since that album.
Actually there has been more than that.

Make A Move
The Oddessey
Memories and Melodies (or whatever it's called)
Pantomine
and I think there were 2 more songs on the Stealth soundtrack

Janitor 10-14-2005 12:09 PM

I meant three songs written since the recording of Crow.

i know what your talkin about..the past year or so... the Stealth songs were 3 songs on a soundtrack, so they halfassed it. just like in "familiar" it was more about DJ Greyboy and Brandon it sounded halfassed too..it just happens that "familiar" kicked alot of ***. only "make a move" got rotation here in the states and that was the good of the 3. so they didnt get much press on the whole thing. im not tryna argue with you dude i just saw "so-and-so should leave incubus" and i got heated. and this is the last thing i'll say about Brandon having the spotlight or whatever its because he's the lead singer. sooooooooooo many bands are noticed for their lead singer (plant, jagger, ozzy, cobain, etc) its just the way things go.

its alright to have a band noticed for their singer, but brandon is not the most talented individual in the group, thats the way it is

Sound Boy 10-19-2005 02:46 PM

no doubt...i thought Robert Plant was the least talented member of Led Zeppelin. and theres a bunch others
but thats a good example because its gonna be hard for a solo career to start after the band departs. both for Page and Plant and Page was amazing.

They should play some TLC stuff live at inc concerts, its amazing i think mike did it to vent,as for people saying its all about brandon, right from day one hes been playing toppless he dont do it for the womens, mike got to showcase some solos his who guitar playing now is quite tecy compared to earlier stuff ,if mike left the band it wouldnt be the same and if brandon did DITTO,the band as a whole has changed since Alex left, and ACLOTM was the first album with new elements and a new feel.
The next album will be even more different, but will contain the 2 elements that are incubus,Brandons voice and mikes guitar.

Sleeper 10-23-2005 03:56 PM

Should we try to get this thread official, we should try to get a good name for the thread.

Yeah I think Brandon originally took his shirt off to either show his tattoos or cool off a little, but now I'm sure it's partly for the ladies. As for Mike: listen to anything before Make Yourself and you'll hear many solos. And the "elements of Incubus," as you call them, aren't just Brandon and Mike. They are all of the members, whether with Alex or Ben, it is the band collectively that makes the music. A Crow Left of the Murder wasn't the first "new" album, almost every album has been different, they like to explore their music a lot and that's one of my favorite qualities of the band.

I just got into Incubus recently when I purchased S.C.I.E.N.C.E. out of nowhere.
Holy shiznit! They are really funky! The only stuff I heard beforehand were the singles, which were just radio friendly rock songs, but songs like New Skin and Glass are absolutely incredible.

If you like S.C.I.E.N.C.E. then I recommend Fungus Amongus and Enjoy Incubus. They have changed quite a bit since those days though, but who knows what to expect from the new album?

Those two are MY favorites lol. I'm quite partial to Vitamin too for some reason.

Janitor 10-24-2005 09:55 PM

It's actually Everytthing in Ebb. It took me awhile to notice that.

Britton 10-24-2005 10:18 PM

Hi guys.

I've been trying to learn "Drive" lately but I'm finding it really
hard without a copy of the audio. could some one please E-mail it to me?

it's brittonmadcap@yahoo.com

Idiot Martyr 10-24-2005 10:24 PM

It sounds like he says both in the song; I never could figure it out so I just say whichever. Thanks though guys. It's actually The 4th Movement of The Odyssey but let's not get technical. And Incubus wrote it. It's great fun to play too by the way.

Gotcha covered Britton.

Britton 10-24-2005 10:33 PM

Thanks Dude

I love that song

Idiot Martyr 10-24-2005 10:38 PM
Thanks Dude

Me too, my friend and I covered it last year for a school talent show lol. It sounds a bit childish to play a high school talent show but it was great having an entire auditorium dancing and singing along with the chorus to the song.

Sleeper 10-24-2005 10:44 PM

Me and a few of my buddies did the song Drive for last years Talent Show, we should of done Just A Phase instead.

Britton 10-24-2005 10:47 PM

That's cool. my buddy and I play at this place called thr river walk
and we get all kinds of tips and stuff so I would like to play it down there

Idiot Martyr 10-24-2005 10:48 PM
Me and a few of my buddies did the song Drive for last years Talent Show, we should of done Just A Phase instead.
I'm looking to pull of Priceless or Sick, Sad, Little World next time. I've also considered Southern Girl and Here in My Room as good cover songs.
That's cool. my buddy and I play at this place called thr river walk

Wait do you live in Georgia? I'm sure there's more than one Riverwalk in the world but I have to ask.

Britton 10-24-2005 10:50 PM

Nope San Antonio!

It's a block away from the Alamo

Idiot Martyr 10-24-2005 10:54 PM
Nope San Antonio!

Ah I see. We have a Riverwalk downtown. We have a lot of venues downtown so I never know all of the bands playing.

Britton 10-24-2005 10:56 PM

Yea it's cool down here.

you play for a couple hours during the summer and 5000 people will see
you play (not kidding either)

Britton 10-24-2005 11:05 PM
