I have a question but it dosen't warrant its own thread.
On my mixer (behringer ub1832fx) It has 2 sets of main outs one set of 1/4 inch and 1 set of xlr. I am guessing they are wired parallel. Does this mean that I can use all 4 main outs or can I only use one each? My little one is sleeping and I don't wanna wake her so trying this is out of the question until sometime tomorrow. I guess it dosent really matter as I currently have 1 out hooked to a powered 12 then it is hooked to the other powered 12. and the other main out is hooked to a poweramp in parrallel one channel is going to a pair of 15s and the other channel will be hooked to a sub when I get it in the morning.. Does this sound about right? I am normally really good with this stuff but the way some things are labeled are a bit wierd. Also There is a bit of a whine coming through the speakers. I am guessing that it is from dirty power supply and the lack of a ground on the recepticles. what can I do to fix this. |

i dno how to write a solo in dorian. i usually don't try to play "modally" simply because i tend to stray away things that i don't usually practice at. playing in this tonality is so odd for me because it doesn't resolve like i'm used to D:
|
Dorian's all I play, before my guitar teacher left to go travelling (I still don't know whether he's returned.....), we started studying modes, played loads of dorian stuff and learned a load of licks, then he buggered off. Never been really arsed to get back into learning stuff like that (moving to uni and all) so I just noodle in dorian all the time XD
|
i dont know too much about modes, but apparently i'm a whore for phrygian

sup josh, hows your lifting going?
|
sup lod, caught the ferry out of holyhead to dun laoghaire today, and then drove to dublin to stay in a hotel for 2 days before my flight back to the states. i'm gonna go raep al if i see him on the streets
also goddamn everything in dublin is super expensive, i didn't notice last time i was here as i was just passing through. does it cost 5 euros for a pint in all of ireland or just dublin? also, i'm sitting in the lobby using the internet because the stupid wireless doesn't work in my room for some reason. fail y/n |
what hotel u at? and why are u getting that boat back and forth all the time!
yeah in dublin its pretty much 5€ average for pint really, shorts are usualy more expensive, its stupidly expensive, also fast food is the most expensive here too i used both the bar and fast food services the last 2 nites, i feel awfull now :( |
well, my family and i flew from san francisco to dublin via aer lingus, and then took the ferry over to wales, which is where we were going to visit my grandma. we would have flew direct to manchester and then been picked up, but it ended up being about $1000 cheaper to just go the dublin -> ferry route.
and now we're heading home with the same airline, so we decided to spend two days here before we go home. and i know what you mean about expensive fast food, we were hungry and driving around (walked into two pubs to find out they didn't serve food) so we just went to a mcdonalds and ended up costing 35 euros to feed four people. kinda nuts that a double cheesebuger is 2 euros here, its only $1 in the US. and i'm at a days in... a really tall one. i'm not sure where, haha. edit- after some googlemaps work, its the one at this address Santry Cross, Ballymun Road Santry, Dublin, D9, Ireland |
Thats like 7 dollars for a pint. Thats crazy. Either the average income is very high there or there are no serious drunks. I think I will put Dublin on the list of places I will never visit. No offense al, But, I don't think I want to go anywhere where the plane and hotel bill is smaller than the bar tab! FFS A pint around here is only $2... $3 if I go the Blue Moon route
|
yup, crazy expensive and more than 7$ ...its great when we go anywhere else... but yeah its one of the most expensive cities in Europe and im sure its high enough in the world rankings too, and yet they still managed to **** the country up bad not to mention 21.5%vat... incomes are pretty normal if not slighty a higher cost of living, but still nothing too different, fuel is about $4.50 per gallon and yet to insure my ford fiesta 1.0 litre engine i pay 800€ a year or 1,130usd 3 years no claims... super!
it can be 10€ + for a drink in some scandanavian countries, but they can charge those prices here cause people wll still flood into the pubs and clubs in town double vodka and redbull is 15€ :) and yup that used to be a really bad area where the hotel is but its not to bad now, still kinda away fromt he city center though! ... what are you's getting up too here anyways |
hi justin here
