I want to find a cheap vocoder. The microkorg has one, right? Have you tried it out?
It does. I haven't used it much, yet, but it seems like it's got a lot of options for whatever the user wants to do with it.

FunkMetalBass 04-14-2009 09:03 AM
just like some noodles with a tin of tomatoes and some mince meat, pretty average,,,, tasted better the first time, felt better the second time

its funny actaully because we're in these tough economic times (apparently) alot of people are getting like a grand of the governement, and all the people i know that got it are just buying mass amounts of weed and cocain with it

so yeah good job government
Haha. America tried the whole economic stimulus check thing. Gave out $300-$600 to every person that filed taxes in 2007.

Most people I know put it in savings, spent it on credit card bills, or spent it on weed. Hardly did anything to stimulate the taxable economy.

It's nice to know that the stimulus plan backfired badly enough to stop other countries from attempting the same thing...

How's Australia's weather this time of year?

Sweet. I'm kind of looking at the EHX vocoder (~$200), but I've never really used one. I see that it has 3rd, 5th, and octave capabilities, but I don't really know if I can switch between major/minor 3rds.

Spaceman Spiff 04-14-2009 09:10 AM

I love calling back east in the winter. How's the weather out there? Snowed in, huh? Me? I'm out by the pool!

I_WEAR_RED_PANTS 04-14-2009 09:11 AM

it's autumn here right now and today i got a big storm. i'm not sure how Az's weather is.

also Az i didn't buy any weed or cocain with it haha did you?

i bought a Paul Gilbert Sig guitar actually signed by Paul Gilbert

the weathers ok, pretty bearable. its getting a bit cold, but its never like cold you knwo, or not cold like you guys get. Its been raining a little bit, but nothing too bad

its too big of a country to give an all over weather report haha same as the US i guess, but where i am (about 2 hours south of syd) its pretty nice all year round, nothing too extreme and no natural disasters

Spaceman Spiff 04-14-2009 09:13 AM

Well, the MicroKorg is also a synth, so you can use it kind of like... autotune? Sort of? Sing into it, hit whichever note you want to sing.

Az_Holl 04-14-2009 09:35 AM

the party is at unanderra. On the train line its like: north gong, gong, coniston unanderra, so its pretty close.

I_WEAR_RED_PANTS 04-14-2009 09:38 AM

I_WEAR_RED_PANTS 04-14-2009 09:56 AM

Bitches.

Az_Holl 04-14-2009 10:56 AM

its more like bitch really

That could be rather awesome. I think I saw Stevie Wonder do that in an episode of the Cosby Show.

I like the stomp box design of the EHX though. Foot controlled vocal processing is where it's at, yo.

Now I need to find a distortion that I like. Finding a good vocal distortion is harder than finding a good bass distortion.

EDIT: bitches is correct

BenJammin 04-14-2009 11:04 AM

I'm pumped that I've finally got a working turntable setup.

Az_Holl 04-14-2009 11:05 AM

look at the dan electro free speech, its pretty cheap, so you could mess around with it and see how usefull it is

or you know... whatever

FunkMetalBass 04-14-2009 11:19 AM

Hmm, I'll have to check that out. I'd love to have some awesome vocal harmonies going on with different intervals beyond the 3/5/8. I am especially partial to the 9 and minor 6 intervals.

EDIT: Oh. Danelectro is just a talk box. I'm more looking for a vocal processor, kind of like the purple DigiTech multiFX vocal unit.
