it takes a while for votes to come in and for people to actually go out and watch it. plus imdb blows dick :o

IMDB doesn't blow dick, but the ratings are pretty unreliable. I mean, ffs the Simpson's Movie is in the top 250.

The ratings are often influenced heavily by the makers. A while back I was looking at reviews for The Number 23 (don't know why, I never wanted to see it) and if you look at a breakdown of the the reviews, about half were 10 stars. It's incredibly easy to find the manufactured reviews, but it does make an unbiased overall opinion difficult.

I love the little message boards they have for movies.

People post the stupidest things.

There are some really good comments on there, actually. Some really bad as well, but that's to be expected and can also be rather humorous.

Rotten tomatoes is fine but they don't have as much information on the movies, nor do I give a shi[size=2]t[/size] what movie critics say.

But the message boards on IMDB are godawful.
