Electric Eye is one of, if not my favourite Priest song.

Cool. Someone agrees. That intro riff is epic. |
I think everyone agrees. And The Hellion is the perfect intro to a perfect song.
|
"Electric Eye" is one of my favorite Priest songs. Does anyone else agree with me that it's one of Judas Priest's best?
Man, the main riff to that song is one of the few that really uses pinch harmonics well. |
Were they any good? I never got round to hearing any of it. How was the cover of Exciter?
It was excellent and the Priest songs on Halford's Live Insurrection are damn good too, I especially like Stained Class live... |
I need to get some of Halford's solo stuff. :(
|
I like Halford the best, out of his solo work.
|
Im sure some of you guys have listened to Tipton's solo albums. Are they intrumental or are there vocals?
|

It's rather generic to me. Some good tracks on Resurrection, but nothing outstanding. |

Never heard them ,actually.
It's rather generic to me. Some good tracks on Resurrection, but nothing outstanding.
Shush, heathen. :p |

I have Baptizm of Fire, but I haven't listened to it in months (and I still can't :upset:). I do remember that there were vocals on it though. |

Can't because its bad, or cant as in you lost it/it was stolen/it is broken... |
can't because I haven't had a working computer of my own for four months, and the album's on my external hard drive.

Is it worth checking out? |
I honestly can't remember much of it. My vague impression was that while it was reasonably enjoyable, it was hardly Priest standard material.

Ok, thanks. I may request it in the daily upload then. |
I got Rising In The East today.
 |
Do you like it? I actually don't have that, yet.
|
Yeah, it's great, although the lack of any special features is a little disappointing. Still, a fantastic show and setlist.
The only other bad thing is a couple of poor AOR songs being there, but that's why they have the skip button :-D |
I didn't really think of AOR as being especially poor. I'd probably watch it all the way through, anyway.
|
Well they play Judas Rising, Deal With The Devil, Hellrider and Worth Fighting For, which are all quite good. They also do Revolution which I'm not to keen on.
|
Yeah, it kind of drags on, I think. That's what the scan button is for!
JUDAS PRIEST WORKING ON FIRST CONCEPT ALBUM
Judas Priest is working on the first concept album in the band's 32-year recording career, according to Billboard.com. The project will tell the story of 16th century French prophet Nostradamus, who was reputedly able to see visions of the future. Lead singer Rob Halford said that fitting the music and storyline together will be a challenge for the veteran metal band: "It's going to be a monumental task. We've written about characters in our music over the decades...It's just like a natural progressive step for us. The exciting thing is that we're going to be performing the whole piece live on stage when we go out, hopefully in early 2007." Halford, who reunited with Priest in 2004 after a 12-year absence, is currently writing the album with guitarists Glenn Tipton and K.K. Downing near the band's hometown of Birmingham, England. No title or release date has been nailed down for the album yet. Halford said that the group will create an "absolutely spectacular" stage show to bring the album to life in concert. Priest will head to Las Vegas next month, along with Kiss, Queen and Def Leppard, for the taping of VH1's Rock Honors. All four bands will perform and be saluted at the event, which will take place on May 25th at the Manderlay Bay hotel and air on the 31st. A concept album should be pretty cool. Im sure they will do a great job with it.
I cant wait for the VH1's Rock Honors to air. Priest and Queen in one night (to bad Freddy is dead.). |

Angel of Retribution keeps on getting better with every listen.
I've listened to it once through so I haven't listened to it enough to form an opinion. I enjoyed it though. EDIT: In my avatar, that's me wearing a British Steel t-shirt  |

Like Sad Wings of Destiny, I used to think that album was a boring rock album but now it's great! :thumb: |
