For GnR? Hell, just go get Appetite For Destruction and you're set for awhile.

rippa32 03-16-2005 05:31 AM

Okay thanks. Back to AC/DC, what is everyones favourite Johnson album?

ArcLite 03-16-2005 05:32 AM

Gotta take BiB or Razor's Edge, hands down.

apart from the obvious ones....i love ballbreaker

Bon_Scottie 03-16-2005 03:00 PM

Without a doubt, Back in Black caught his best side.

I quite like Blow up your video and Fly on the wall too, but they don't compare when it comes to Back in Black.

shamed-angel 03-16-2005 03:07 PM

Back in Black is one of the best comeback albums, If not one of the best albums ever.

Flick of the Switch is my other favourite Johnson album.

LedZeppFan83 03-16-2005 04:08 PM

I agree..........

-Yea, "Back In Black" is probably there best album but there "Razor's Edge Tour" cd, is the best!

rippa32 03-16-2005 09:55 PM

Well looks like Back in Black is it. What about Bon albums? He has so many great ones.

ObscuredByClouds 03-16-2005 10:19 PM

i think the reason why people like acdc is because they have so much energy, and if you ever watch them live you just gotta laugh at angus.

Marty 03-17-2005 03:53 AM

powerage and let there be rock are bons best

Black Dog 03-17-2005 05:13 AM

wrongnote85 03-17-2005 01:47 PM

hate to be cliche-ish or however you spell it, but back in black is the album that made me want to play guitar. back in black all the way.

seekanddestroy4286 03-17-2005 02:27 PM

quick question is phil rudd coming back cause i heard somewhere that chris slade was only on board for the razor's edge album and tour. But i dont know if its just a rumor or if it's true, and if it is, why wasn't he with them for the razor's edge?

Bon_Scottie 03-17-2005 03:50 PM

I thought Phil Rudd was 'back'? He played on the last realesed live DVD, and played in the last tour, didn't he?

I literally love all of the albums Bon Scott has sung for he. His lyrics were total passion, and defined rock and roll.

Phil Rudd left after flick of the switch (no one knows for sure but the most popular rumour was that he and malcolm got into a fight) They then employed Simon Wright who left after Blow Up Youre Video because he decided he would rather play with DIO. Chris Slade was then employed for the Razors Edge and the subsequent tour. He left soon after because the band met up with Phil, had a jam session and then hired him again. He then went on to drum for Ballbreaker and Stiff Upper Lip. And thats the story up until now. Phil Rudd is still in.

Rattlehead 03-18-2005 06:57 AM

wasn't Chris Slade @ donnington?

SkaKing22 03-18-2005 07:12 AM

ac/dc are a very popular band and they rock live. however, their drummer, Phil Rudd, is overrated as he plays the same basic beats in nearly every song. Angus is an OK guitar player but he does put on a great live show. still, they are one of the best rock bands of all time.

(whoever says music isn't about how good you are, that its only about selling albums is completely insane)

OK guitarist?? understatment of the year, mate... but true thing bout one of da bst rock bands in the wrld

Iwannarock 03-18-2005 02:00 PM

have you guys ever really heard angus play. he might not have to hard of stuff in his songs but if he just sits down and plays hes flippin awsome.

Brewer14 03-18-2005 03:02 PM

My favorite cd by them would have to be If You Want Blood, or Let There Be Rock. Both are way underrated, I love Angus's guitar work on LTBR

horseypie 03-18-2005 09:40 PM

hes an incredible soloist....hes pretty fast.......but no where near john petrucci ;)

I disagree.

For one, Phil Rudd doesn't get to show off how good he actually is on the drums. If he played insane beats to AC/DC's tracks, it would ruin the song. It's all about simplicity. Who knows, he could have a few fair skills up his sleave... And secondly, nobody actually over rates Phil Rudd. I never hear anybody talking about Phil Rudd and how good he is at drumming. If I hear talk of Phil Rudd, it's because they are talking about how the simple beats fit with AC/DC's style.
hes an incredible soloist....hes pretty fast.......but no where near john petrucci
I agree that he may not be as skilled as some of the greatest guitarists in the world, but I think he's better because of his entertainment. What he does on stage is brain bustering...

rippa32 03-19-2005 05:30 PM

If you people listened to AC/DC's earlier stuff you would see that angus is better than you give him credit for. Still maybe not as good as others such as Jimmy Page but still worth looking into.
