^ hmmmm I have a record player, and use it a lot.
So do all of the fathers of time :). But the fact that younger people are wanting record players to play the original LPs is awesome.

Maybe we can have a repeat of the 70s in the 2010s :D. Ok i'm getting a little ahead of myself here :(

Badmoon 05-07-2004 06:03 PM

^ Lol.

Have any of you heard or have George Harrison's Brainwashed. Waht are your opinions on it. I'd give it a 10/10, it's amazing.

Badmoon 05-07-2004 07:10 PM

I just for some reason heard this. Jethro Tull's keyboard is now a she. He had a sex change

lovely_lil_antichrist 05-07-2004 07:54 PM

hey lovly lil anarchist i dont mean to moan but half the bands you named there are new wave not classic just thought i'd point that out sor if i seam like a total perfectionist but i just like to spread the knowledge

what's the difference, love? i must not be on top of things...

Citric Acid 05-07-2004 08:00 PM

Yeah, classic rock is gaining popularity in our school Id like to say my band has soemthing to do with it, but I dont wanna sound conceited. Im attempting to spread the gospel of classic rock. Im burning people CDs of classic rock songs and exchanging them for a CD with their music that they burn me. Im hopin people will begin to appreciate music more.

johnnyaddiction 05-07-2004 08:31 PM

Did anyone mention the band Yes? Yes is awesome, just saw them in concert last Sunday...

But anyways, I don't really see it gaining very much popularity. I think it's always been the same - teenagers like [c]rap. This is coming from a 13 year old girl. Hells yes. Me and a few close friends absolutely love Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, The Who, Yes, Deep Purple, Jefferson Aiplane, The Eagles, Van Halen, Lynard Synard, etc. But other than my friends, nobody around here seems to dig classic rock (except our parents haha).

Oh and one more thing - 13th Floor Elevator (in my opinion) had that psychadelic rock sound before Zeppelin - in 1965. I think Zeppelin perfected it...

i read about that. fortunatly, Ian Anderson is a compationate man and dosent look down upon him, umm i mean her, for this and will continue with her in the lineup and their friendship, which i like to see. J-tull are untouchable, i simply adore them :)

Led Zeppelin was barely Psychedelic rock. Nor did they perfect it, and nor did 13th.

The perfectionists of that sub-genre are The Velvet Underground, no doubt.

I love this album. When people talk about George they only mention All Things Must Pass . I think this album is super-underrated. My favorite songs are probably "Stuck Inside a Cloud", "Rocking Chair in Hawaii" and well... basically I love every song. Badmoon, thanks for bringing this up. 9.5/10

I heard about it. I want to hear it. He's such a great guitarist :) *drifts off*

Veteran of the psychic wars 05-10-2004 05:26 AM

Ok, I mentioned this band before, but not one other person has mentioned anything about them here.

Am I really the *only* one here who loves Wishbone Ash?
If you like classic rock, and you haven't heard 'Argus' yet, you are missing out on something awesome.

B0nz0 05-10-2004 03:18 PM

i never heard of him before. but what are ur opinions on steve miller. i love that song "the joker" it's been stuck in my head for a week.
abrakadabra annoys me, but go on take the money and run is awesome, as is jungle love. fly like an eagle and swingtown are also personal favorites. opinions?

B0nz0 05-10-2004 03:18 PM

FrailandBedazzled1979 05-10-2004 03:20 PM
Frail should know.
i beleive Andy Geddings is the most recent keyboards player in J-tull, hired in 1992 i think.

B0nz0 05-10-2004 03:23 PM

my favorite jethro tull song is def "thick as a brick." quite a unique song, very creative. and it changes completely too many times to count.
Deep Purple Is Playing By Me In August And I'm Getting Tickets!!!
