I recorded one song of ours for 4 hours only to decide I didn't like the basses' tones and I scrapped it all. I think I might be recording it on a fretless Jazz bass now.

I still have 4 songs to go.

That's the most awesome part about recording at home hey, virtually unlimited time allowance.

It's true. Thank god for that. My recording guy and I use the same software, I like to DI my bass, and his audio interface is simply the upgraded, rackmountable version of mine. I'm also equally (if not more) anal than he is. My first recording took the absolute best parts of 16 different tracks. He didn't mind so much that I do my tracks at home.
