FatalEnergy 11-14-2007 07:36 PM

Not only do the riffs suck, but so does everything else.

Deth 11-14-2007 07:49 PM

Basically, yeah.

masterchaos 11-14-2007 08:46 PM
I dunno, the whole modern thrash movement has me loling.
Check out Skeletonwitch...good stuff

Better half the "Girl Runs Through Dark Alley" named bands your praise

Aakon_Keetreh 11-14-2007 08:50 PM

That name is retarded, but hey this is black metal.

i am the robots 11-14-2007 09:09 PM
Better half the "Girl Runs Through Dark Alley" named bands your praise
*that you

And you didn't use words like Death, Murder, and Burn.

Besides, Skeletonwitch sucks.

rattlehead42147 11-14-2007 09:30 PM

yeah that was generic as hell. the only band i can stand thats even slightly like that is Between the Buried and Me, because they don't sound like everyone else. the vocals are annoying to me at times though.

LifeInABox 11-14-2007 09:34 PM

:)

Why are we talking BTBAM itt?

masterchaos 11-14-2007 09:36 PM
*that you

Hey thanks for pointing out a minor grammatical error. I really care about impressing you with wonderful punctuation and spelling. And if you were really on the ball you would've noticed that "Better half" should've been, "Better than half".

and no they dont. granted the name is retarded, but they are far from suck.

edit to Aakon: I would say black thrash :p

Slapping Penguin 11-14-2007 10:48 PM
Generic isn't good.
Generic is good when it wasn't generic......
:s

Dam you Tojes, you avatar keeps dancing to my Bolt Thrower.

NP - No Guts, No Glory (This track owns)

EDIT: ROLF, check out the Croc going hard in Tojes avatar.

Angmar 11-14-2007 10:57 PM

The solo at the end of Left Hand Path's title track is orgazmically good. That album owns all around tbh.

Deth 11-14-2007 10:58 PM

\m/

I think the title track may be the best example of death metal ever.

Angmar 11-14-2007 11:00 PM

Yeah, easily in my top 10 death metal songs.

Slapping Penguin 11-14-2007 11:02 PM

I wholeheartedly concur. That song owns my puny ears.

I love when it goes into that crushing riff with the "I dip my forefinger into the watery blood, of your Im___ (I can't pronounce or spell the word haha) redeemer!"

It sends chills down my spine every time.

One person is making a passing reference, don't get too upset.

Between The Buried And Me is NOTHING like Through The Eyes Of The Dead, gtfo.
I'm not taking sides, but I thought I should pop in and say that missing three words from 12 (15 with the missing words) isn't a minor grammatical error. :p

So yeah anyway, Nocturnus and stuff!

i am the robots 11-15-2007 12:43 AM

I'm listening to Intestine Baalism yet again! So damn good.

Riva 11-15-2007 12:44 AM

Yeah, I quite like Banquet In The Darkness.

i am the robots 11-15-2007 12:52 AM

Do you have An Anatomy Of The Beast?

If you don't, I suggest you get it. It's even better.

FatalEnergy 11-15-2007 12:54 AM

I've been meaning to get that album, but haven't got around to it.

PinkPinky 11-15-2007 08:59 AM

I used to be a big Isis about a year ago, now I'm leaning more towards Classic Rock.

rattlehead42147 11-15-2007 09:59 AM
Between The Buried And Me is NOTHING like Through The Eyes Of The Dead, gtfo.
they've both got that -core influence going on.
I think the title track may be the best example of death metal ever.
carnage sets some pretty good examples on Dark Recollections though...

Aakon_Keetreh 11-15-2007 10:01 AM

I dont think it matters

rattlehead42147 11-15-2007 10:04 AM

which part of my post was that directed at?

i got some Crematory last night, the Denial EP. Pretty good stuff, i like the vocals on it.

Aakon_Keetreh 11-15-2007 10:05 AM

Btbam

rattlehead42147 11-15-2007 10:11 AM

reasonable.

I'm going to try to get Nespithe tonight, I didn't listen to much of it the first time.

It is good, but I certainly don't think it is better then Banquet In The Darkness.

Too many songs on it get lost and forgotten on it compared to Banquet In The Darkness.

i am the robots 11-15-2007 11:58 AM
they've both got that -core influence going on.
BTBAM does, TTEOTD does not, gtfo.

rattlehead42147 11-15-2007 12:35 PM
BTBAM does, TTEOTD does not, gtfo.
ok, well i'm no metalcore expert nor a fan so i could be wrong here but that whole screamo style of vox that TTEOTD has forces me to consider them influenced by metalcore to some degree.

i am the robots 11-15-2007 12:48 PM

Screamo style vocals?
