good charlotte good charlotte good charlotte hahaha sorry!
not funny im emaberessed for both of us

Burning inside 11-15-2004 01:38 PM
good charlotte should not be spoken it makes me cringe!
good charlotte is a really really bad swear word so i emplore everyone not to say it.

I think that there is only a very few pop-punk bands. **** *********, Blink 182 and Green Day.

Untitled 11-15-2004 01:39 PM
Not at all. Selling out is changing your music in order to make more money. For example Blink didn't sell out as they were already popular
I know what selling out is, its just thats what people are like.
yeah..... the reason for that i think:

-everyone wants to not follow the crowd, so as soon as a band becomes really famous, they decide they dont like them anymore.

but now pop-punk is a style more than a watered down version of punk
Thats exactly what im on about, its almost like some punks are scared to like a band if they go mainstream.

dave grohl 11-15-2004 01:39 PM

dont forget HIm.

to be fair..... punk isn't just about the music... however, "real" punk barely exists, and so all those people are just posing.

Untitled 11-15-2004 01:40 PM

HIM are plain crap, some guy i know weres a HIM shirt everyday, i think the reason he likes them though is cause we all hate them, he trys to hard to be different.

duffroxmysox 11-15-2004 01:41 PM

GC- I dislike 'em but still, they are better than westlife, in a way, so you have to at least thank them for playing some kind of instrument and not sitting on a stool every friday night on totp and clogging the number one spot for weeks on end with every song

hmmm.....I also hate the fact that I liked Joel and Benji's made hoodie so I got one but I cant stand the band :upset:

Brew 11-15-2004 01:41 PM

I'm a power metal nerd these days

But I'll listen to anything, the latest compilation cd I did featured Fatboy Slim, Black Sabbath, Goldie Lookin' Chain, The Streets, Ensiferum, Bob Marley and The Deftones.

So I'm an all rounder for music.

dave grohl 11-15-2004 01:41 PM

Bob Marley as power metal? Interesting.

Im into the Golden Oldies at the moment, such as Pantera, Black Sabbath, The Who, Iron Maiden and Led Zepplin.

Meh? I was just pointing out how random my latest cd is.

But Bob Marley speeded up Power Metal style would be interesting.

dave grohl 11-15-2004 01:46 PM

Blink are my fave band, I know there not punk, but it annoys me people who go off on a paddy becuase someone calls them punk. I usualy call them punk, unless im talking to someone who has some idea about music, its just easier. And people who moan as they call the selfs punk, its proberly the same. Theyll no there not punk, but its just easier to say they are.

duffroxmysox 11-15-2004 01:47 PM
I reckon GlC are a spoof band.
