Apocalyptic Raids 10-09-2005 12:59 AM

Not sure. I could take the easy way out and do Heathen

Most likely will be Sauron or Sadus.

Don't worry, my connection sucks too. I just hope doing this doesn't send me over my 10 gig limit, because if I remember correctly, uploads count toward that.

I can upload Thrash Assault by Sauron or Illusions, Death To Poseurs and Certain Death by Sadus if you'd like.

Oh god, you aren't with Telstra aswell are you? They suck beyond belief. Uploads do count towards your limit. I have plenty of CD's I can upload, but like I say, it might take a bit of time.

Perhaps some Rigor Mortis.

Apocalyptic Raids 10-09-2005 01:13 AM

I won't be doing it every day. Just once or twice a week.

I am with Telstra :(
What'd you think of Exodus having only one original member from the Bonded By Blood era? How can you change so many creative inputs and still have it sound like Exodus? Pretty soon even Gary will be gone...
Gary basically is Exodus, he wrote the majority of their material even in the early days. There is an interview with him somewhere where he states he has written 90% of everything Exodus has done. Even on Pleasures Of The Flesh i believe since the very first formation of Exodus he was the only original member there.

Apocalyptic Raids 10-09-2005 08:32 AM

My local metal Radio show just played some of the new Exodus :D

They also played a modern thrash band called Rumplestiltskin Grinder. Pretty good Bay Area-styled thrash.

DimebagDarrell 10-09-2005 08:56 AM

These guys have been playing HEATHEN tracks...

Get in there and start requesting!

AR: I'm in for the mailing list thing.

MAthiAS 10-09-2005 09:21 AM
I actually saw a setlist from one of their recent shows. They only played stuff from Bonded, Tempo and SHKM. :(
Not even Toxic Waltz?

...

Oh yeah, Exodus have gone the way of Megadave with Gary and all, but at least they're still writing some great music.

Gary is not an original member of Exodus.

randyrhoads 10-09-2005 10:58 AM

is Children of Bodom thrash

Terrorzone 10-09-2005 11:01 AM

Nope, power metal with harsh vocals.

Metallion#666 10-09-2005 12:01 PM

Yeah, but theyre still pretty thrashy, especially on hatecrew

Leper Affinity 10-09-2005 12:02 PM

They're not thrashy at all.

Metallion#666 10-09-2005 12:17 PM

yes they are, listen to chokehold

Pandfair 10-09-2005 12:20 PM

They aren't thrashy at all.

Seven Gates of Hell 10-09-2005 12:20 PM
yes they are, listen to chokehold
No. You don't understand.

Children of Bodom is not thrash, and they are not thrashy. They are power metal with harsh vocals.

Metallion#666 10-09-2005 12:21 PM

They can be thrashy too. . .and they are. Its fast and crazy=thrash!

Seven Gates of Hell 10-09-2005 12:23 PM
They can be thrashy too. . .and they are. Its fast and crazy=thrash!
You have no idea what you are talking about.

Pandfair 10-09-2005 12:26 PM

Fast and crazy = Fast and crazy
Thrash = Thrash

See the difference?

MAthiAS 10-09-2005 12:30 PM
They can be thrashy too. . .and they are. Its fast and crazy=thrash!
So...

Napalm Death
Cryptopsy
Bad Brains
Dragonforce
Shadows Fall
Mayhem

Are all thrash then?

According to the first page. :p

(As far as I remember)

Though personally I don't count them as thrash.

MAthiAS 10-09-2005 12:36 PM

Meh, they aren't thrash and the point gets made.

I mean, seriously, there's a lot of classical music that's fast and crazy. Thrash?

Neo-Classical Thrash Metal?

That'd be sweet to create...I should do that...but I suck at classical techniques, yet I have speed and precision and a HUGE love for Classical Music.

MAthiAS 10-09-2005 12:44 PM

I can't play anything in a true classical guitar style, but stuff like Vivaldi's Summer, Pagannini's 24th Caprice, etc... are fun as hell to play.

That would be sweet if done right... *ponders*

Classical \m/
You have no idea what you are talking about.
shut up

metal-militia 10-09-2005 03:11 PM

Children of Bodom are not thrash in the slightest.

Metallion#666 10-09-2005 03:15 PM

fine. . . I give up, Thats just my opinion, and i still think they are a little thrashy, but i'm not gonna argue any more.

Would you guys classify COC as thrash?

Elnimio 10-09-2005 03:20 PM

No.

Terrorzone 10-09-2005 03:21 PM

They have there moments, they are mainly Crossover.

metal-militia 10-09-2005 03:21 PM

no, COC aren't thrash.

Metallion#666 10-09-2005 03:47 PM

I'll rephase, does anyone else here like them? I bought BLIND yesterday and it owns.

metal-militia 10-09-2005 04:14 PM

I don't particularly like them, but i haven't heard loads of their stuff.

Metallion#666 10-09-2005 04:21 PM

Their like crazy southern-political metal

RCA 10-09-2005 05:51 PM

COC's early material is tolerable.

ThrashMaster27 10-09-2005 06:48 PM

Yeah, Animosity is pretty ok. Not great though.

Anyway, if any of you like Forbidden, check out a Slovenian band called Negligence. Released a demo in 2004, but it sounds very 80's styled. Might have been mentioned before without me noticing, but you never know.

NP: Rigor Mortis - Psycho Therapy

I mentioned them WAY back when, but they deserve more recognition. :)

Thats a good album.

I don't see why people would say they aren't thrash. Crossover IS thrash.

ThrashMaster27 10-09-2005 06:55 PM
I mentioned them WAY back when, but they deserve more recognition. :)
Yeah, I blame the beer and old age. I can't remember all that I used to.

They do deserve more recognition. Plus the demo is completely free, so you can't say fairer than that. Now, where was I? I need some more sleep.

My back hurts.
