DBJ, or any other Mod:

WTF is going on in the lessons and articles section? Someone has either created space for new articles, or 262 pages of spam. Get on it.

Or make me a mod and i'll help with the anti-spam effort ;)
They won't let you in with cameras into the store this year, and nope didnt win anything.
At least you tried.

I know an ass load of people that wouldn't have.

Double Bass Jim 10-06-2005 02:28 AM

Ahh it's not about that or winning really, when we were all in the back before drawing names we were all talkin, real good bunch a guys too! The older guy in his 40's and a younger black guy my age got along and started talkin for awhile, just about how playing in these is fun and we got each others numbers and stuff so we can jam out at the house was pretty cool! Everyone pretty much agreed that more then anything everyone there is there to have a good time which we all did. I guess the judging came down to 4 were the scores were so close the judges had to make a pick, the guy they picked was the older man and he was a good choice he had some style and played very good, im going to watch him in the store finals.

Voodoo Rabbit 10-06-2005 02:38 AM

*Sounds like you had a good time.

Plus, It's the experience what matters.

Double Bass Jim 10-06-2005 02:40 AM

For sure this was deffinelty the best out of the 3 years i've been in it.

Drum Phil 10-06-2005 02:42 AM

The last time I was there, they were begining building this HUGE triangle-thing in the entrance (well, One of them) to the stables market.

Still, I love going there.

Would it be full of nuns?...

I think it's just fun walking around London in general and seeing all the little shops and stuff.
You get some really nice food in Charing Cross station (Of all the places in London, I went there to get something to eat)...

I never really go into charing cross, as 90% of the time i go into london from liverpool street, and the otehr 10% is from cockfosters/oakwood.

At the moment I love Soho, it is such a nice area. O and Tin Pan Ally, for a musician that is a must.

Voodoo Rabbit 10-06-2005 05:17 AM
cockfosters
Hah!...

Chris 10-06-2005 05:20 AM
Hah!...
Why that?

Voodoo Rabbit 10-06-2005 05:22 AM

I was born there too. Shame it is a dump now., i tend to go to the QE2 when im ill now.
:o Oakwood was my local trainstation!!
My local is Cheshunt, where i live :D But it is cheaper to go to a underground station (Oakwood/Cockerfoster's are really easy to get to, go to pottor's bar on the m25, come off, and it is the 3rd exit, then follow that road), then to get the train from my local station in to london.
