Today is a Johnny Cash day.
More days should be. |
A compilation of late 60s and early 70s funk called Funk Drops: Breaks, Nuggets And Rarities
Phineas Newborn's Here is Phineas is a really cool virtuoso piano album. Recommended to any straight ahead bebop fan. On a more personal level: The last couple days I've been experimenting with different keyboard instruments and pedals, which is a common pasttime of mine. One combo I've come upon that really moved me today was running some nice synth pad sounds on my Alesis Micron through a 60s Heathkit fuzzbox that really makes them scream. Then I've got my digital piano through a 300ms delay, to add some far-off booming melody. |
Im upping the Dresden right now, guys.
|
score. thanks, man.
|
Argh, I tried twice and it keeps failing.

Flaming Lips - The Day Andy Gibb Died
I don't know what this is, ep/compilation/bootleg or what, but it's pretty cool. It has a basically unintelligable Life on Mars (Bowie, eedjits) cover which is all spooky and weird. |
Isis - Panopticon
Paavoharju - Yhä Hämärää Post-metal goodness, and Finnish electro psych-folk weirdness. |
