|
Nice one Nile are pretty good :thumb: i have loads of gigs to go to this year its going to be expensive. :( ah well no christmas presents for people
|
I was thinking of getting some older Nile and even the newest release, only because Annihilation of the Wicked seems to be a little more thrashier than the others. I still love their style. It's just pure pwnage.
|
They're all good.
|
They're all good.
Beneath The Catacombs Of Nephren-Ka is their only good one, IMO, and the latest one was buried 30 seconds into Cast Down The Heretic. |
I think a good one to start with for Nile is BSOV. And in the world of thrash, my Torture Squad cd I ordered won't be here til November 10 because its out of stock.

I want a Razor shirt badly.
|

I'm lucky in those kinds of situations. I just leave some picture, image or cd cover with my friend and a random color shirt, two days later i pick up my new logo shirt. Basically is free. |

I want one of those Exodus 'Slay-team' shirts.

Yeah, those look pretty cool. NP: Soothsayer - Death Radiation |
Torture Squad are a great thrash band.
|
Torture Squad are a great thrash band.
Correct. Phantasm are great too. It's so damn heavy; the guitar tone is thick, and the vocals (dunno if they're real or not) are definitely something to behold. Cool riff style too. EDIT: Forgot to add that Phantasm is a death metal band, though the thrash Phantasm is decent. |

Pandemonium wins. Anybody want to jump on this Mailing List bandwagon? |
What'd you think of Exodus having only one original member from the Bonded By Blood era? How can you change so many creative inputs and still have it sound like Exodus? Pretty soon even Gary will be gone...
|

Anybody want to jump on this Mailing List bandwagon?
I was the first one on that bandwagon, which was started by Neurotoxin, with my Extreme Metal Mail. :unmatched coolness: If you want to start a thrash one, I can help you out with some uploads. NP: Nuclear Assault - Brainwashed |
When Gary goes, Exodus will go.
Gary was always main creative force anyway. Tempo Of The Damned was 100% Gary (besides Impaler), and same with Shovel Headed Kill Machine. EDIT: Freezing Moon (Tyler isn't it? ;) ), I thought I had double posted there for a second! |

Do you even know who's in Exodus right now? There're plenty of creative minds in the band. |

EDIT: Freezing Moon (Tyler isn't it? ;) ), I thought I had double posted there for a second!
Yep, that's me. :)
Do you even know who's in Exodus right now? There're plenty of creative minds in the band.
There has to be since they made something as good as Shovel Headed Kill Machine. I listened to it at least twice in a row last night, probably three or four times. :D NP: Exciter - Heavy Metal Maniac |
I don't think anyone else besides Gary contributed song-writing wise, because Lee had just joined when they went into the studio.
Tyler, they call me Jon ;) |

I actually saw a setlist from one of their recent shows. They only played stuff from Bonded, Tempo and SHKM. :(

really? Bonded...hmm I wonder how Rob Dukes sounds on Pirahna... |
Apparently he sounds good on the Bonded stuff, but I wanna hear it for myself. I was never a fan of Zetro doing the BBB material.
|
Do you even know who's in Exodus right now? There're plenty of creative minds in the band.
I didn't say there weren't creative minds, just different ones. |

One day I shall hear Dukes doing Bonded By Blood material  |

And that hasn't mattered in the past (about the lineup situation). |
I have decided I will make a Thrash mailing list. Any of you are welcome to help. I will probably do the thread soon.
|
I was thinking of doing a Thrash mailing list. Then I realised I was a lazy bastard with a crap connection. Live and learn eh!
What's on the cards for the first CD? |
