woo, almost learned janicks solo in fear, tis surprisingly easy :D
Interesting. I've been practicing that solo for quite some time myself.

I'd really like to hear your version.

Sometimes when playing it, I'm tempted to emulate the LIVE version instead of the studio version. The studio version is very perfect, but there's something about the energy in the live version. The extra bend in the beginning of it, as well as the frenzy further on.

I have always preferred Gers' solo over Murray's in this song.

So will I get the chance to hear your version soon?

E-T-T, I have a question. How do you make your bass not sound terrible in Audacity? I'm running into problems with mine.

Well, it depends. I know the originial is a masterpiece.

I also know that you obviously got another couple of weeks to practice. So, if you're spending your time right, you'll be able to pull off a decent version very soon.

Would you mind telling me how long you've been playing, just for the record? Thus, I get an idea of what to expect.

That can be said for many of Janick's solos.

*Is working on perfecting Janick's Paschendale solo. Still has no idea how the hell is going to pull off Adrian's*

Lord Abortion 06-13-2005 04:39 PM

Which Iron Maiden album is best for pumping you up? Like, you can listen to the whole thing and be excited throughout? Right now I'm really digging the self-titled album just for all the energetic songs (except Remember Tomorrow, ugh).

Yes, I agree with everything there. Phantom of the Opera is bloody awesome for that. Charlotte the Harlot is one of my fav Maiden songs for some reason. And I hate Remember Tomorrow.

Lord Abortion 06-14-2005 02:43 AM

hoi!

remember tomorrow and strange world (the latter especially) are the best songs on the ST but all those songs are great

i've been so bored today, got a week off school because exams have finished for most people (not me, my last one's on monday). i'm going to borrow an air rifle off the bloke who works with me dad to kill rabbits with, but he forgot it today :(. so i sat at home and listened to NPFD and Tyranny of souls, and other random music, and got bored.

which songs are you lot doing?

and Crag, at least you had / have an Ipod, i have a 128mb mp3 player :upset:
