I'm digging Krysytof Penderecki's Matrix 5, in light of the fact that I'm writing an essay on the nature of music, and whether avantgarde pieces can actually be considered music. It's due in in a little under 3 hours. 200 words left.

Over the past month, i've been diggin' copious amounts of Tindersticks, 'cos man they are absolutely incredibly fu'cking good.

And i've discovered how good Tom Waits is, and how DREADFUL Joanna Newsom is.

And as always, i've been listening to the Kinsella brothers projects (American Football etc), cos they are orgasmic. Metaphorically, of course.

Today i've listened to:

A good day it was.

Ravel is one of my faves. Have you heard his String Quartet in F? Oh man.

I'm downloading an album of the Berg String Quartet playing that piece and a Debussy Quartet. I hope I get it all tonight.
