Are Ayreon power metal?
Eh, sort of. Basically he's just really cheesy progressive metal. It's great if you can get over how insanely corny it is. Plus he always has all star lineups supporting him. |
Not exactly, but just as cheesy.

What's the new one called?

How nerdy. Is it any good?
|
I haven't heard it yet, but given the concept (and it's grandeur; it's a continuation of two previous Space Migrator albums), you can guarantee intense dorkiness.
|
Well, his albums are quite enjoyable, so I might give it a try.
|
ugh Ayreon
|
For sure, I'll probably grab it eventually. On a more relevant note, I'm slowly realising the last.fm cut off time is completely bs'd. My charts make almost no sense yet again.
|
Pain is a good track, probably the least cheesiest I've heard Ayreon do, but I've only heard The Human Equation

Last.fm has stolen 2-3k of my tracks. I should be well over 50k. |

Worship should be at 16, because I played it twice before the alleged cutoff. Ah well, it was a busy week so I should start accounting for iPod plays. Also, this is the first time in a long while without PtH on my top 10. Expect a gross horrible 300+ weekly count within the next week or two, since my copy of Fortress should be en-route. |
When's it due to be released?
|
When's it due to be released?
January 29th in US and Canada. I believe it's the same in Europe, I just dont want to talk out of my ***. |
Okay, that's soon enough. But I'm getting a bit agitated about it. Abstinence FTL.

Well, the way they're handling it (they being the label in the band), I'm surprised it hasn't leaked yet. It's allegedly heavily watermarked, and I'm not even sure if it's the final master (the promo copy), but I know it's close enough and that it's been given to nearly anyone associated with the group, hah. |
Even if it leaks I'll want the actual copy as well.
|
Even if it leaks I'll want the actual copy as well.
Totally, I'm just saying if it does and you really want it, go for it. The actual copy will be worth it for sure, the artwork is something that they actually asked for this time and not some random flaming baby head they had to replace last minute with a flower, like last time, hah. That and the new Cursed are dropping around the same time, so man, my charts will be small (but inflated) when that happens. |
Yeah, if it leaks I'll download and still my abstinence 'til I can get my hands on the hard copy.
