That's much better, but that solo still feels rushed.
While I'm waiting to do vocals for BbB, do you want me to do the rhythm guitar for another song? I'm thinking something by Overkill.
Sure, that would be cool. I don't know any songs by Overkill, but it'd be fun to learn. Yes, that solo is a bitch because I tend to hit lots of dead notes, or go too fast/slow. I'll get it tomorow. /hasn't heard Morbid Saint.:upset: |

I hear your progression from the first cut to the second, and it's a good one. You're going to nail it! Okay, out of these five 'Kill songs, which should I do? 1. Shred 2. Hammerhead 3. Overkill 4. Bare Bones 5. Deny The Cross |
Bare Bones, probably. Hopefully there are good tabs, and somebody can do/program keys?
This song has sweet riffs. I can probably do those solos with some practice and good tabs, unless someone else wants to do them. |
So that's one vote for Bare Bones! First song to three votes gets the gig.

Bare Bones!

Bare Bones is pulling away!

My postcount is 1986, the prime year of the thrash metal genre. All hail my postcount.

Is that link to the Morbid Saint supposed to try to charge me money to download it?

It did for me. I think I'll use Limewire... |

Too bad Limewire sucks goat balls. You'll have much better luck finding it on DC++ or Soulseek. As I wait for the Overkill song poll results, I'm going to go ahead and do the guitar parts for Kreator's "Flag of Hate". :thumb: |

Ah, you're right. I guess I don't think of it because I don't have it. |
I recorded the Flag of Hate track, but my amp broke shortly after. The recording of whatever Overkill song you guys wanted is going to have to be put on hold, unless somebody else wants to do it.

NP: W.A.S.P - The Invisible Boy
Oh man, that sucks. Too bad about your amp. Hopefully you can get a new one or get it fixed soon. NP: Sodom - Baptism of Fire |
And my 2,000th post shall be given to the thrash thread! :chug:
/In Union We Stand plays over the MX loudspeaker Yeah, I'll be getting fixed soon. Hopefully before the covers competition ends. :( |
From Blabbermouth.net:
"Guitarist Rick Hunolt has left long-running San Francisco Bay Area thrashers EXODUS, informed sources have told BLABBERMOUTH.NET. Hunolt was apparently not involved in the recording process for the band's new album, which is currently being tracked at Trident studios in Pacheco, California. EXODUS' as-yet-untitled follow-up to 2004's "Tempo of the ****ed" will mark the band's first release with new singer Rob Dukes. Mixing duties will be handled by Andy Sneap (MACHINE HEAD, NEVERMORE, ARCH ENEMY, KREATOR). Among the tracks set to appear on the CD is "Shovel Headed Kill Machine" (working title), which guitarist Gary Holt has described as "one of the fastest EXODUS songs of all time." EXODUS recently parted ways with longtime drummer Tom Hunting after Hunting was taken ill and had to be hospitalized several times, according to Holt. He has since been replaced in the group by ex-SLAYER/FORBIDDEN skinsman Paul Bostaph." Exodus seems to be having a string of odd luck lately...o.o;; *plays BbB in honor of Paul and Rick* |

Good choice of a song for the celebration :thumb:
Thanks dude! By the way, is that other forum still running?
Exodus News
Man, this sucks. I hope this doesn't have any effect on the new album. :( |
I hope it doesn't **** up the new album either. I liked a lot of the Holt and Hunolt guitar trade-offs during the solos. I loved how they made Low Rider sound so kickass, yet, it was still close to that of the real song itself.
Makes me want to go out and play it live the way they played it XD I'm listening to the 'Kill right now, but I'll be sure to listen to the X for sure before I goto bed tonight. |
exodus news
hmm strange, Gary hasn't posted anything on the Exodus boards yet... and "informed sources" sounds pretty fishy. I ain't believing it until I hear it from Gary Holt himself. |
