...Shut up...

Spaceman Spiff 05-03-2005 03:24 PM

I still need an amp... now more than ever, actually, since I seem to be in a band... yeah, so what if I'm happy about it and always mention it? ;)

By the way, I haven't mentioned in a while that I'll be seeing Pearl Jam on September 19th.

1) Roland.

2) You don't know how jealous I am. They are probably theb est live band, IMO. I can't listen to their CD's now if not live; no comparison. Amazing band.

Radiobass81 05-03-2005 03:28 PM
Roland is teh pwn though...
Indeed.

Really, there is not an amp I prefer to my Roland.

Foxfire 05-03-2005 03:28 PM
Hmm?
Whether or not the Roland is better than a hybrid Avatar stack is purely subjective and up to the person listening. ;)

I personally think my stack is the best I've ever heard. Completely kills every amp I've ever tried.

I will never need more power. 900 watts is awesome. ;)

The V-Amp Pro is an amazing piece of metal and solder. Disgusting amounts of modeling.

So yeah. I love it. You love your Roland. Gav loves his GK. There. ;)

fatbandit 05-03-2005 03:29 PM

Some people think I can sing, but I don't. And don't have the confidence either. Now if I sounded like Mike Patton...

Steal his voicebox... Plan forming!

fatbandit 05-03-2005 03:30 PM

I might want the next sized Roland up one day... And maybe attach a 2x10 extensin cab...

Radiobass81 05-03-2005 03:33 PM

Why not get the DB210 and get the DB115X extension? 2x10 + 1x15 = nice :)

And also, forgot to say, congrats on the stack :thumb:.

Left Shoe 05-03-2005 03:35 PM

1. I'll look into it.

2. Did I mention this will be my 4th time seeing them live?

fatbandit 05-03-2005 03:36 PM

Well, I alrady have my DB500... My plan was DB900 (is it the 900 or 700? The one with the 15" speaker, but otherwise the same as the 500) and then one of the new 2x10 Roland extension cabs (they are making them aren't they?).

Not for a while yet though, I'm not made of money!

PaulSimonon 05-03-2005 03:46 PM

Neal, did you see your thread yet?

http://www.musicianforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=336441

Radiobass81 05-03-2005 03:48 PM

The 2x10 is not an extension cab, they are the new DB amps. The 500 and 700 (the one you spoke off) are a thing of the past, but the DB900 is still available. This has a 4x10, and the Shape button gets it to sound like a 2x12.

Because I heard it really hurts girls the first time.

You REALLY don't know how jealous I am.

Four? Oh, how I envy.

Spaceman Spiff 05-03-2005 03:54 PM

Radio, since you're the Roland man, what would you recommend to me?
The band consists of just three members, so only one guitarist. Also, this band will be gigging at some point, so, something that'll be good for that.

fatbandit 05-03-2005 03:55 PM

I can still get a 700 second hand though... I may just go elsewhere for the extension cab at any rate.

I'm off MX!

G'night.

fatbandit 05-03-2005 03:57 PM

DB500, Spiff!

It easily handles gigs (well, it has done with me), and recording, and band practices, and won't be a problem with a guitarist, as long as he's sensible and doesn't have a 300W amp on full volume...

I say that as its cheaper, but get the DB700 if you don't mind the size and cost.

tenorbass 05-03-2005 04:08 PM

hey guys there is a new Jean baudin vid out

Radiobass81 05-03-2005 04:13 PM

Spiff: Any DB series Roland amp is gig-worthy. I love my DB500, but, just to be on the safe side, get the DB700 if you can find one. I've seen some places that still have them. Music 123 has them, I think...

I<3myOLPmm2 05-03-2005 04:19 PM

my peavey 200 watt keyboard amp sees me through gigs just fine

I<3myOLPmm2 05-03-2005 04:19 PM
