Great job dude, that really proved that song sounds like The Black Dahlia Murder... which it doesn't.
I said it sounded like that era of mdm, never said they sounded like tbdm at all retard and how is GOV "simple sounding" I think bands like Emmure and Suicide Silence are simple sounding, not GOV |
When you said TBDM era-mdm, I assumed you meant TBDM clones, how retarded of me.
And what modern bands does this sound, "exactly like," to you? Because I can't really think of any. It really doesn't even remind me of bands that they used to have similarities to (except maybe Cannibal Corpse during the intro), like The Damascus Intervention and By The Sins Fell Angels. Also, if deathcore doesn't sound simple to you, you must know nothing about music. Like, I can play some TTEOTD and GOV riffs, and I suck at guitar. |
Hey thanks fella. i'll check it ASAP.
BTY I'm not really a kid at 32.....does that make the oldest dude in this sh1t?
I'm 27, so as far as regular R&M folks, its just me and you! |
I think that there's too many deathcore bands that play only breakdowns and it pretty much gives the genre a lame rep. Don't get me wrong, I totally dig breakdowns, but bands like Iwrestledabearonce just ruin it for the artists that actually have talent in this genre. Anyway, deathcore can have some really poweful moments and I enjoy a few deathcore bands myself, but it's quite the challenge to find a band that I enjoy completely( I'm really picky when it comes to music). For instance, Carnifex, they say they're not deathcore and get pissed if you assume they are, but their older stuff like Slit Wrist Savior or Love Lies In Ashes is a gleaming example of deathcore. The whole album Dead In My Arms is deathcore, they even had a shirt that said SoCal Deathcore. I'm straying off topic here, Carnifex is one of the few bands I think is worthy of buying one of their albums. I personally own The Diseased and the Poisoned, but I'm not gunna lie, I wasn't nearly as impressed as I was with Whitechapels new album, This Is Exile. I don't know if the Knoxville, TN boys are considered deathcore or technical death metal or what, but of all the crap I just typed, if there's one thing I want you people to do is at least check a few songs out by them. Like maybe Eternal Refuge, or The Somatic Defilement (from their first album of the same name) which is one of my favs still to this day.

the new carnifex is boring as hell, dead in my arms was WAY better imo
GRAVES OF VALOR the famine <3 also i stand by my statement WBCC is boring, nothing like BDM, that's an insult!! |

First of all Iwrestledabearonce isn't remotely deathcore and isn't breakdown oriented at all. I enjoy both Carnifex records and both Whitechapel records, though I'd totally say Whitechapel is deathcore and aren't remotely technical. Also I'd love to read what you have to say but it's hard when it's in a big block like that, can you do some paragraphs please? That would help me out a lot, thanks! |
i deff enjoy The Somatic Defilement and Dead In My Arms, their follow ups imo were kinda boring and tbh the production especially on The Diseased really killed the sound!!
and i agree Whitechapel deff isn't tech |
whoever asked, GoV comes out May 26th and it's on relapse so i think it'll leak before.

i heard that if an album is watermarked then they can trace who downloaded it and where they got it from
|
Hahaha, I cannot believe people actually like Oceano. That band sucked with their original line-up, and they still suck now.
Sucks they don't have the herpes ridden singer anymore, do they still have the negro? |
the new carnifex is boring as hell, dead in my arms was WAY better imo
GRAVES OF VALOR the famine <3
oh dear God, no |

Whatever band sucks, my one friend from War3 is from their area, said their original singer was the biggest scumbag he's ever met.
Pretty much the only reason I've known about them for so long (way too long). Best band out of that scene is For Those Who Died Sacred... and they're not that good. |
^^Thanks 4 Golgotha too. It is damn good.^^
Where'd they go wrong with Horror I've heard it's poo. |
The singer on that album is terrible.
Some of the riffs are good, but there's a lot of really bad breakdowns and stolen riffs. |
