Anyone heard Powerwolf? Listening to a few of their tracks now, it's really, really catchy. Like a less serious Sabaton. They're singing about "St. Satan" and "Resurrection by Erection" instead of D-Day.

I've heard of them but never heard them. I think I might give them a shot now.

where the hell is your logic? painkiller came out in 1990. the height of NWOBHM was from the late 70s to the early 80s. unless you want to claim that jag panzer was around in 1972 and judas priest ripped off their sound for Sad Wings of Destiny.

Well they're okay from what I've heard, and it's been forever, but they're so plain and uninteresting.

Ample Destruction is okay, Thane to the Throne is good, and select other songs are great, but mostly they're meh.

I don't like the vocals, for one thing. I like Harry on the later stuff, but not on that album.

Powerwolf is ridiculously over the top

They're no more overthetop than Sabaton, and at least I don't feel as guilty laughing at them.
